is the nature of all dharmas. Having abided therein, although the bodhisattva-mahasattvas abide in unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment, they do not truly see any dharma that can be destroyed. All dharmas are without abiding and without destruction; that is the very abiding nature of dharmas. Therefore, when bodhisattva-mahasattvas practice the Perfection of Wisdom, seeing all dharmas as empty of inherent existence, they do not turn back from unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment. Why is that? It is because they do not truly see any obscuration in any dharma; they truly see all dharmas as without obscuration. That is to say, in this emptiness of inherent existence, they do not perceive a self, nor do they perceive an imputation of self. They also do not perceive a sentient being, a life, a being, one born of strength, a son of strength, a nourisher, a person, an agent, one who causes to act, a beggar, one who thoroughly begs, a feeler, a knower, or a seer. They also do not perceive an imputation of a seer. They also do not perceive form, feeling, perception, formations, or consciousness. They also do not perceive an imputation of consciousness. Likewise, they also do not perceive internal and external dharmas. They also do not perceive even the eighty excellent marks. They do not perceive an imputation of the eighty excellent marks, so how could there be doubt about unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment? Subhuti, it is like this: for example, if an emanation of the Tathagata constantly and without interruption teaches the Dharma for as many hundreds of thousands of myriads of eons to an emanation of a monk, a nun, a male lay follower, or a female lay follower, what do you think, Subhuti? Do those emanations have the opportunity to attain the fruit of stream-entry, or the fruit of once-returning, or the fruit of non-returning, or the attainment of arhatship, or self-enlightenment, or unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment? He replied: "No, Blessed One." Why is that? It is because they do not have any substance.

O! The Blessed One declared: Subhuti, it is so, it is so. Because all dharmas are without substance, what Bodhisattva-Mahasattva constantly enters into the fruit of a stream-enterer, or the fruit of a once-returner, or the fruit of a non-returner, or an Arhat, or a Pratyekabuddha, or a sentient being who is capable of being embraced by the Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment, otherwise, he will place the sentient beings of the world, who are entangled by perversions, into the non-perverted. Because the cause of discrimination is not in accordance, therefore, whatever is perverse is non-perverse, without discrimination and without perversion. In whom there is no perversion, then there is no self, no sentient being, and even no knower and seer. In that, there is no form, no feeling, no perception, no mental formations, no consciousness. Similarly, apply it until there is no Bodhi. In whom there is no self, and even no knower and seer, no form, no feeling, no perception, no mental formations, no consciousness, and even no Bodhi, that is the emptiness of self-nature. Abiding in this, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, liberating the perverse sentient beings from the notion of sentient beings. Liberating from the notion of form, and even the notion of formlessness. Similarly, apply it, liberating from the dharmas with outflows and without outflows. What are the dharmas without outflows? They are the four mindfulnesses, the four right abandonments, the four miraculous feet, the five faculties, the five powers, the seven branches of enlightenment, the eight noble path branches, the four formless absorptions, and even the eighteen unshared Buddha dharmas. However, in them, it is not the ultimate truth as it is. Thus, unconditioned, unborn, without substance, and arising.

That which is not is emptiness of inherent existence. That is the enlightenment of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, for in it there is no self, no sentient being, even up to no knower and seer. No form, no feeling, no perception, no formations, no consciousness. Similarly, even up to the eighty excellent marks do not exist. A Bodhisattva-Mahasattva only abides in unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment for the sake of fully knowing emptiness of inherent existence, and not for the purpose of the path. Whatever is emptiness of inherent existence, its prior extreme is also emptiness of inherent existence, and the later extreme and the middle are also emptiness of inherent existence; it is never not emptiness of inherent existence. Therefore, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, abiding in the perfection of emptiness of inherent existence, practices the knowledge of the aspects of the path in order to liberate sentient beings from the perception of sentient beings and from all concepts. When he practices the knowledge of the aspects of the path, he also practices the path of the Hearers, the path of the Solitary Buddhas, the path of the Bodhisattvas, and all paths. Subhuti, that Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, having thus perfected all paths, having fully ripened all sentient beings, having purified all Buddha-fields, having blessed the formations of life, manifestly awakens to unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment. Having manifestly awakened to unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment, he also does not cut off the lineage of the Buddhas; for example, this emptiness of inherent existence is the Dharma of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat. Subhuti, the Dharma of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, who appeared in the past was also like this; this emptiness of inherent existence is it. The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, who will appear in the future, and the Buddhas, the Bhagavat,
