Now, residing in the realms of the ten directions, those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, who live and dwell and also teach the Dharma, their way of Buddhahood is like this: this is the emptiness of inherent existence. Because this emptiness of inherent existence only arises from the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and apart from that, it will not arise in the world from elsewhere. Therefore, Bodhisattvas, great beings, if they practice in such a way that they do not completely fall away from omniscience, then they should practice the perfection of the emptiness of inherent existence. The venerable Subhuti said: O Bhagavat, thus it is that Bodhisattvas, great beings, also practice the emptiness of inherent existence, and form is also different, and the emptiness of inherent existence is also not different. Feeling is also different, perception is also different, formations are also different, consciousness is also different, and the emptiness of inherent existence is also not different. Likewise, all the Dharmas of the Buddha and the interval of enlightenment are also different, and the emptiness of inherent existence is also not different. Because form itself is the emptiness of inherent existence, and the emptiness of inherent existence is form, and the interval of enlightenment itself is the emptiness of inherent existence, and the emptiness of inherent existence is enlightenment, and one does not create confusion about this emptiness of inherent existence, this is truly amazing! After saying this, the Bhagavat said to the venerable Subhuti: Subhuti, if form were also different, and the emptiness of inherent existence were also different, and feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness were also different, and the emptiness of inherent existence were also different, and likewise, if the interval of enlightenment were also different, and the emptiness of inherent existence were also different, then, Subhuti, Bodhisattvas, great beings, would not fully awaken to omniscience with form, and feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness would not fully awaken to omniscience, and the interval of enlightenment would not fully

If one does not become fully enlightened, then, Subhuti, in this way, form itself is also emptiness by nature, and emptiness by nature is also form. Feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness are also emptiness by nature, and emptiness by nature is also consciousness itself. Even up to enlightenment is emptiness by nature, and emptiness by nature is enlightenment itself. Therefore, Subhuti, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, having realized that form is empty by nature, form itself will fully manifest and realize all-knowingness. Even up to enlightenment, having realized emptiness by nature, enlightenment itself will fully manifest and realize all-knowingness. Why is that? Because in emptiness by nature, there is no dharma that is destroyed, remains permanent, or enters. Otherwise, the world with gods, with demons, with Brahma, and with ascetics and Brahmins, cannot truly know form as it is. Feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness also cannot truly know as they are. Because they cannot truly know, ordinary beings are attached to form. They are attached to feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness. Having attached to form, and having attached to feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness, they engage in self-grasping and grasping at what belongs to self. Having attached to self-grasping and grasping at what belongs to self, they also attach to internal and external objects. Having attached, they also completely grasp form, feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness in the places of birth. They are not completely liberated from birth, aging, sickness, death, sorrow, lamentation, suffering, distress, and agitation, and they are not completely freed from the cycle of the five realms.
