What is obtained? It is the non-arising of afflictions, and the wisdom that cannot be severed. Abiding in these two kinds of patience, one can perfect the four dhyanas. The four immeasurables, the four formless absorptions, the four mindfulnesses, up to the eightfold noble path, the three doors of liberation, the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, and the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha are all perfected. He abides in those noble, uncontaminated, supramundane dharmas, unshared by the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and thereby perfects the noble superknowledges. Having perfected those superknowledges, abiding in those superknowledges, with pure divine eye, he sees the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, of the eastern direction. Having seen them, he will also obtain mindfulness of the Buddha, and until he attains the unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment, his mindfulness of the Buddha will arise continuously. It is the same in the intermediate directions. With the divine ear element, he will grasp all that is spoken by those Buddhas, the Bhagavat. Having grasped it, he will also practice it accordingly, and will also teach the Dharma to sentient beings accordingly. He also knows the minds of those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, with his mind. By knowing the variety of minds, he also knows the minds of all sentient beings with his mind, and having known the minds of all sentient beings, he also teaches the Dharma accordingly. By knowing the knowledge of remembering past lives, he knows the roots of virtue of those sentient beings, and with those past roots of virtue, he makes them rejoice and leads them to practice correctly. By knowing the knowledge of the exhaustion of defilements, he places and establishes those sentient beings in the three vehicles. Subhuti, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva who practices the Prajnaparamita, through skillful means, also fully ripens sentient beings, and also fully purifies the Buddha-field, thereby proceeding towards omniscience.

Practicing and perfecting the omniscience of all aspects, attaining complete enlightenment of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and turning the wheel of Dharma. Subhuti, thus a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, practicing the Perfection of Wisdom, will perfect the Perfection of Patience. Subhuti, how does a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva perfect the Perfection of Diligence in the absence of characteristics, absence of effort, absence of focus, and absence of manifestation? Subhuti, in this case, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practicing the Perfection of Wisdom possesses both physical diligence and mental diligence. He enters and dwells in the first dhyana, and so on up to the fourth dhyana. Having entered the fourth dhyana, he experiences various miraculous feats, even touching the sun and moon with his hand. Possessing this physical diligence, he goes by means of miraculous power to countless hundreds of thousands of world realms in the eastern direction, and serves and honors those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, with robes, food, bedding, seats, medicinal remedies for illness, and other necessities. Those robes and food of his will not be exhausted until he attains complete enlightenment of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Having attained complete enlightenment, he also causes the world with gods, humans, and asuras to possess the happiness of clothing and food. Therefore, offerings will also arise for the relics of those who have passed into complete nirvana. Having gone by means of that very miraculous manifestation, he will hear the Dharma from those Buddhas, the Bhagavat. Whatever he hears will never be wasted until he attains complete enlightenment of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, practicing omniscience and also causing sentient beings to be completely ripened. The Buddha's field.
