perfection of generosity, the perfection of diligence, the perfection of meditation, and the perfection of wisdom. And up to the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness samadhi, and the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddhas are all completely perfected. Nor does he grasp at the ripening. Subhuti, it is like this, for example, the gods of the Paranirmitavasavartins, all their perfectly complete implements are accomplished merely by thinking of them. Subhuti, likewise, all the implements of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva are also completely perfected merely by thinking of them. With these perfectly complete implements, he also makes offerings to the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and he also satisfies the world with gods, humans, and asuras. He gathers those beings with generosity, and skillfully establishes them in the three vehicles. Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, in this way he completely perfects the Dana Paramita. Subhuti, how does a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva completely perfect the Sila Paramita? Subhuti, here, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, he completely perfects the Sila Paramita. He will obtain the noble, uncontaminated, path-included, Dharma-nature-obtained morality. That morality of his is also undiminished, without faults, unmixed, unconfused, empowered, without stains, extremely complete, and praised by the wise. He does not hold any dharma as supreme with that morality, whether it be form, feeling, perception, formation, or consciousness, or the thirty-two major marks of a great being, or a great Sala tree of the Kshatriya caste, or a great Sala tree of the Brahmin caste, or a great Sala tree of the householder caste, or the gods of the retinue of the Four Great Kings, or the Thirty-three, or the Yama, or the Tushita.

Even having dominion over the kingdom is not held as supreme, but rather, it is shared with all sentient beings, and through the worldly terms of the signless, the unconditioned, and the non-dual, it is completely transformed into the state of omniscience, but it is not ultimately so. That which is the perfection of the perfection of discipline, and that which is skilled in means, generates the four meditations in a way that does not taste their flavor. With the divine eye born from maturation, one sees those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, who dwell in the east, living and partaking, and that seeing will not be exhausted until one awakens to unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. And in the realms of the south, west, north, and intermediate directions, one also sees those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, who dwell, living and partaking, and that seeing will not be exhausted until one awakens to unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment, thus actualizing the divine eye. With the divine ear, pure and surpassing human capacity, one also hears the sounds spoken by those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and that hearing will not be exhausted until one has accomplished the benefit of oneself and others.

Through the wisdom of remembrance, it reveals the past actions that do not make the actions done in vain. Through the wisdom of the exhaustion of defilements, it enables sentient beings to abide in the fruit of stream-entry, up to the state of Arhatship. It enables them to abide in self-enlightenment. It enables them to abide in unsurpassed enlightenment. It enables sentient beings to abide in whatever virtuous Dharma they are able to enter. Subhuti, thus the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva perfects the Paramita of Morality with a mind free from characteristics. The Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, Chapter Forty-Nine. Subhuti, how does the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva perfect the Paramita of Patience in regard to Dharmas that are without characteristics, without effort, without object, and without manifestation? From the moment of generating the first thought until sitting at the heart of enlightenment, all sentient beings gather and strike with fists, sticks, and weapons, yet the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva does not give rise to even a single moment of disturbed thought. In this regard, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should cultivate two patiences. What are the two? They are: to be patient with whatever abuse, revilement, fists, sticks, and weapons that all sentient beings inflict, and to generate patience with regard to unborn Dharmas. If abused and reviled, or struck with fists, sticks, and weapons, The Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should contemplate thus: Who is it that abuses and reviles me? Who is it that strikes with fists, sticks, and weapons? Thus, he should contemplate the intrinsic nature of Dharmas, and if, when contemplating their intrinsic nature, the Dharmas themselves are not perceived, how much less is there an intrinsic nature of Dharmas to be seen? Thus, when contemplating the intrinsic nature of Dharmas, he thinks thus: Who is it that cuts me? Who is it that pierces me? When he thus contemplates the intrinsic nature of Dharmas, he will obtain patience with regard to unborn Dharmas. He has patience with regard to unborn Dharmas.
