, morality, and the perfection of generosity are also considered, not belonging to the form realm and the formless realm. What does not belong, that is neither past, nor future, nor present. Similarly, it is considered that emptiness of inner emptiness and emptiness of the nature of non-things do not belong to the form realm and the formless realm. The thirty-seven dharmas of the path to enlightenment are also considered not to belong to the form realm and the formless realm. The ten powers, the fearlessnesses, the individual liberation, and the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha are also considered not to belong to the form realm and the formless realm. Similarly, suchness, non-erroneous suchness, non-other suchness, dharma-nature, dharma-abiding nature, dharma-unchanging nature, the ultimate limit of reality, the inconceivable realm, morality, concentration, wisdom, liberation, and the wisdom of liberation, omniscience, the nature of non-forgetfulness, and constantly abiding in equanimity are also considered not to belong to the form realm and the formless realm. What does not belong, that is neither past, nor future, nor present. Why is that? Because, precisely because it does not belong to that, it does not belong to dedicating it in that way. The dharma to which one dedicates, those dharmas also do not belong. What is dedication, that also does not belong. The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, also do not belong. Those roots of virtue also do not belong. The Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas also do not belong. Their roots of virtue are also considered not to belong to the form realm and the formless realm. What does not belong, that is neither past, nor future, nor present. Thus, one should dedicate. A Bodhisattva practicing the Perfection of Wisdom, if he knows thus, form

Whatever exists does not belong to the desire realm, does not belong to the form realm, and does not belong to the formless realm. Similarly, feelings, perceptions, formations, and consciousness do not belong to the desire realm, do not belong to the form realm, and do not belong to the formless realm. Similarly, the elements and the sources do not belong to the desire realm, do not belong to the form realm, and do not belong to the formless realm. Whatever does not belong is neither past, nor future, nor present. Therefore, it cannot be completely designated by way of signs or by way of objects. Why is that? Because, for it, there is no inherent nature. Whatever has no inherent nature is without substance. That which is without substance cannot be completely designated by that which is without substance. Feelings, perceptions, formations, consciousness, the elements, and the sources are also the same. Generosity perfection, discipline perfection, patience perfection, diligence perfection, meditation perfection, and wisdom perfection are also the same. Inner emptiness, and up to the emptiness of the nature of non-things, are also the same. The thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, the powers, the fearlessnesses, the individual correct knowledges, the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, the omniscience, the nature of not forgetting, and constantly abiding in equanimity, similarly do not belong to the desire realm, do not belong to the form realm, and do not belong to the formless realm. Whatever does not belong is neither past, nor future, nor present. Whatever is not past, nor future, nor present cannot be completely designated by way of signs or by way of objects. Why is that? Because, like this, for it, there is no inherent nature. Whatever has no inherent nature is without substance. That which is without substance cannot be completely designated by that which is without substance. Thus it is said.

If one knows this, then, the dedication of a Bodhisattva is without poison. A son or daughter of good family who has properly entered the Great Vehicle, who dedicates those roots of virtue in the manner of signs and in the manner of objects, that is a perverted dedication of those roots of virtue, it is not a proper dedication. The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, do not praise a perverted dedication. That dedication with which the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, do not praise, does not perfect the perfection of generosity. It does not perfect the perfection of morality, the perfection of patience, the perfection of diligence, the perfection of meditation, and the perfection of wisdom. Whatever six perfections are not perfected. It does not perfect the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment. As far as the emptiness of inner emptiness and the emptiness of the nature of non-things, and the powers, the fearlessnesses, the individual correct knowledges, and the eighteen unmixed qualities of a Buddha are not perfected. That does not purify the Buddha-field completely. It does not ripen sentient beings completely. Whatever does not purify the Buddha-field completely and does not ripen sentient beings completely, that will not become perfectly enlightened in unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. Why is that? Like this, because his dedication is with poison. Furthermore, when a Bodhisattva, a great being, practices in the Perfection of Wisdom, one should examine it like this: The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, should dedicate the roots of virtue with this Dharma-nature. Having understood it like that, I too should dedicate it to unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment with that Dharma-nature. One should examine it like that. Then the Bhagavat said this to the venerable Subhuti: Good
