Or it cannot be said to be impermanent, because it cannot be said to be permanent or impermanent. Why is that? Because, now, if even form itself does not exist, how can one look at permanence or impermanence? Thus it is shown. Kauśika, those sons or daughters of good family are not showing something that is fabricated according to the perfection of wisdom. Similarly, do not look at feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness as impermanent. Why is that? Because consciousness is empty of its own nature, and whatever is the nature of consciousness is unreal, and whatever is unreal is the perfection of wisdom, and whatever is the perfection of wisdom, it cannot be said that consciousness is permanent or impermanent. Why is that? Because, for that, even consciousness itself does not exist, how can one look at permanence or impermanence? Thus it is shown. Kauśika, those sons or daughters of good family are not showing something that is fabricated according to the perfection of wisdom. Kauśika, furthermore, sons or daughters of good family who meditate on the perfection of wisdom show this way: Son of good family, come here, meditate on the perfection of wisdom, son of good family, do not look at any dharma, do not abide in any dharma. Why is that? Because for the perfection of wisdom, there is no dharma to be transcended or to be abided in. Why is that? Kauśika, like this, all dharmas are empty of their own nature, and whatever dharma is empty of its own nature is unreal, and whatever is unreal is the perfection of wisdom, and whatever is the perfection of wisdom, there is no dharma to be taken, abandoned, born, or ceased. Thus it is shown, Kauśika, those daughters of good family are not showing something that is fabricated according to the perfection of wisdom. The aggregates, the elements, the sense bases, and dependent origination, and all the perfections, and the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, and all the emptinesses.

कौśika( कौśिक,Kauśika,憍尸迦)。 कौśika( कौśिक,Kauśika,憍尸迦)。 कौśika( कौśिक,Kauśika,憍尸迦)。 कौśika( कौśिक,Kauśika,憍尸迦)。 世尊开示说: कौśika( कौśिक,Kauśika,憍尸迦)。

Me. The ten powers (of a Buddha), the fearlessnesses, the various kinds of perfect knowledge, and the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, should also be combined in the same way. Son of good family, do not view all-knowingness as impermanent. Why is that? Because, all-knowingness is empty of its own nature of all-knowingness; the nature of all-knowingness is also without substance; that which is without substance is the Perfection of Wisdom; because of the Perfection of Wisdom, it cannot be said that all-knowingness is permanent or impermanent. Why is that? Because, there is not even all-knowingness there, how could there be a view of permanence or impermanence? Thus it is taught. Kauśika. Those sons or daughters of good family are not teaching something that has been transformed like the Perfection of Wisdom. Kauśika. Therefore, sons or daughters of good family should teach the meaning of the Perfection of Wisdom in that way. Kauśika. Sons or daughters of good family who teach in that way will accumulate a great deal of merit. Kauśika. Furthermore, if a certain son or daughter of good family were to establish all the beings in Jambudvipa in the fruit of stream-entry, Kauśika. What do you think? Would that son or daughter of good family accumulate more merit than that basis? Indra replied: Blessed One, much more. Well-Gone One, much more. The Blessed One said: Kauśika. Therefore, whichever son or daughter of good family speaks and explains the Perfection of Wisdom, complete with meaning and words, in various ways to others, distinguishes, clarifies, and correctly teaches it, and says this: Son of good family, come here, take up the Perfection of Wisdom, recite it, memorize it, fully understand it, properly attend to it, and diligently apply yourself to the Perfection of Wisdom as it has been taught, then he will accumulate a great deal of merit.

Why is that? Kauśika, the stream-enterer and the fruit of stream-entry arise from this Perfection of Wisdom. Kauśika, let's say all the beings of Jambudvipa are subdued into the fruit of stream-entry. Let's say all the beings in a thousand worlds are subdued into the fruit of stream-entry. Let's say all the beings in two thousand worlds are subdued into the fruit of stream-entry. Kauśika, let's say all the beings in the three-thousand great thousand worlds are subdued into the fruit of stream-entry. Kauśika, in the east, in worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, however many beings dwell, if some of those sons or daughters place them in the fruit of stream-entry. Similarly, in the south, west, north, intermediate directions, above, and below, in worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, however many beings dwell, if some of those sons or daughters place them all in the fruit of stream-entry. Kauśika, what do you think? Would that son or daughter generate more merit than that basis? Indra replied: Blessed One, much more. Well-Gone One, much more. The Blessed One said: Kauśika, therefore, whichever son or daughter extensively explains and accurately shows this Perfection of Wisdom, together with its meaning and words, to others, and distinguishes, explains, and clarifies it, and says this: Son of good family, come here, take up the Perfection of Wisdom, recite it, memorize it, fully understand it, properly attend to it, and diligently apply yourself to the Perfection of Wisdom as taught. If they also say this, they will generate much more merit. Why is that? Kauśika, the stream-enterer arises from the Perfection of Wisdom.
