I (referring to emptiness) do not exist, and the Buddha's unique qualities are also emptiness. Emptiness is also the Buddha's unique qualities, for this reason. World Honored One, for this reason, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, they do not abide in the Buddha's unique qualities. World Honored One, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, they do not abide in the Perfection of Giving. Why is that? World Honored One, for example, the Perfection of Giving is empty of the Perfection of Giving. World Honored One, the emptiness of the Perfection of Giving is not the Perfection of Giving, nor is there emptiness apart from the Perfection of Giving, the Perfection of Giving itself is emptiness, and emptiness is the Perfection of Giving. Similarly, they do not abide in the Perfection of Ethics, the Perfection of Patience, the Perfection of Diligence, the Perfection of Meditation, and the Perfection of Wisdom. Why is that? World Honored One, for example, the Perfection of Wisdom is empty of the Perfection of Wisdom. World Honored One, the emptiness of the Perfection of Wisdom is not the Perfection of Wisdom, nor is there emptiness apart from the Perfection of Wisdom, the Perfection of Wisdom itself is emptiness, and emptiness is the Perfection of Wisdom. World Honored One, for this reason, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, they do not abide in the Perfection of Wisdom. World Honored One, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, they do not abide in letters. They do not abide in the manifestation of letters. They do not abide in speaking of one, speaking of two, or speaking of difference. Why is that?

Bhagavan, thus, letters are empty by means of letters. Bhagavan, whatever is the emptiness of letters, that is not the letters, and there is no emptiness apart from the letters. The letters themselves are emptiness, because emptiness is also the letters. Bhagavan, in this way, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, practicing the Perfection of Wisdom, does not abide in letters. Bhagavan, furthermore, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, practicing the Perfection of Wisdom, does not abide in thinking, "Form is impermanent." Feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness also do not abide in thinking, "It is impermanent." Why is that? Bhagavan, thus, the impermanence of form is empty by means of the very nature of the impermanence of form. Whatever is the emptiness of impermanence, that is not impermanence, and there is no impermanence apart from emptiness. Impermanence itself is emptiness, because emptiness is also impermanence. And suffering, and selflessness, and peace, and emptiness, and signlessness, and wishlessness, and dwelling in what is called solitude. What is the reason for that? Blessed One, in this way, the solitude of consciousness is empty of the solitude of consciousness. Whatever is the solitude of consciousness is not consciousness, and there is no solitude apart from consciousness. Consciousness itself is solitude, and solitude is consciousness. Blessed One, in this way, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, practicing the Perfection of Wisdom, does not dwell in what is called the solitude of consciousness. Blessed One, furthermore, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, practicing the Perfection of Wisdom, does not dwell in Suchness. What is the reason for that? Blessed One, in this way, Suchness is empty of Suchness. Blessed One, whatever is the emptiness of Suchness is not Suchness, and there is no Suchness apart from emptiness. Suchness is also emptiness, and emptiness is also Suchness. Blessed One, in this way, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, practicing the Perfection of Wisdom, does not dwell in Suchness. Likewise, he does not dwell in the nature of phenomena, the realm of phenomena, the faultless nature of phenomena, and the ultimate reality.
