One does not truly see diligence or non-diligence with respect to what is in between. Similarly, one does not truly see diligence or non-diligence with respect to right abandonment, the supports of miraculous power, the faculties, the powers, the limbs of enlightenment, and the paths. One does not truly see diligence or non-diligence with respect to the four truths. One does not truly see diligence or non-diligence with respect to the ten powers of the Thus-Gone One, the four fearlessnesses, the four individual perfect knowledges, the five clairvoyances, and the eighteen unmixed qualities of a Buddha. One does not truly see diligence or non-diligence with respect to the wisdom of all-knowingness, which is endowed with all kinds of excellence. Shariputra, in this way, a bodhisattva mahasattva who is diligent in the perfection of wisdom should be known as diligent. Shariputra, furthermore, the activity of a bodhisattva mahasattva in the perfection of wisdom is not associated with emptiness, nor is it associated with non-association, nor is it the yoga of emptiness. It is not associated with signlessness, nor is it associated with non-association, nor is it the yoga of signlessness. It is not associated with wishlessness, nor is it associated with non-association, nor is it the yoga of wishlessness. Why is that? Because emptiness is neither yoga nor non-yoga, and similarly, signlessness and wishlessness are neither yoga nor non-yoga. Shariputra, a bodhisattva mahasattva who is diligent in this way is called diligent in the perfection of wisdom. Shariputra, furthermore, the activity of a bodhisattva mahasattva in the perfection of wisdom is to enter into the emptiness of the own-being of all phenomena. When entering in this way, one does not associate with form, nor does one associate with non-association. Feeling, perception.

One does not associate with earth, formations, and consciousness, nor does one associate with non-association. One does not associate with form and the past extreme, because even the past extreme itself is not truly seen. One does not associate with form and the future extreme, because even the future extreme itself is not truly seen. One does not associate with form and the present arising, because even the present arising itself is not truly seen. Similarly, one does not associate with feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness with the past extreme, because even the past extreme itself is not truly seen. One does not associate with consciousness and the future extreme, because even the future extreme itself is not truly seen. One does not associate with consciousness and the present arising, because even the present arising itself is not truly seen. Shariputra, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices Prajnaparamita, because of the equality of the three times, one does not associate with the past extreme and the future extreme, nor does one associate with the future extreme and the past extreme. One does not associate with the present arising and the past extreme or the future extreme, nor does one associate with the past extreme or the future extreme and the present arising. Shariputra, such a diligent Bodhisattva Mahasattva is called diligent in Prajnaparamita. Shariputra, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices Prajnaparamita, one strives in this way. If one strives in this way, one does not associate with all-knowingness and the past, because even the past itself is not truly seen, how can all-knowingness be associated with the past? One does not associate with all-knowingness and the future, because even the future itself is not truly seen, how can all-knowingness be associated with the future? One does not associate with all-knowingness and the present arising, because even the present arising itself is not truly seen.

If it is not seen, how can it be thought that all-knowingness arises now and is joined with it? Shariputra, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who practices in this way is said to be diligent in the Perfection of Wisdom. Shariputra, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he does not join form with all-knowingness, because form itself is not truly seen. Likewise, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness are not joined with all-knowingness, because consciousness itself is not truly seen. Likewise, the eye is not joined with all-knowingness, because the eye itself is not truly seen. The ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind are not joined with all-knowingness, because the mind itself is not truly seen. Form is not joined with all-knowingness, because form itself is not truly seen. Likewise, sound, smell, taste, touch, and dharmas are not joined with all-knowingness, because dharmas themselves are not truly seen. Shariputra, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who is diligent in this way is said to be diligent in the Perfection of Wisdom. Shariputra, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he does not join the Perfection of Giving with all-knowingness, because the Perfection of Giving itself is not truly seen. Likewise, the Perfection of Morality, the Perfection of Patience, the Perfection of Diligence, the Perfection of Meditation, and the Perfection of Wisdom are not joined with all-knowingness, because the Perfection of Wisdom itself is not truly seen. The four mindfulnesses are not joined with all-knowingness, because the four mindfulnesses themselves are not truly
