If one strives in the perfection of wisdom with these seven emptinesses, it is called striving. When a Bodhisattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom with those seven emptinesses, one does not say for the moment whether one strives or does not strive. Why is that? Because in this way, they do not truly see form as being of the nature of arising or of the nature of ceasing. Feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are of the nature of arising or of the nature of ceasing, they do not truly see. Form is of the nature of being completely defiled or of the nature of being completely purified, they do not truly see. Feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are of the nature of being completely defiled or of the nature of being completely purified, because they do not truly see. Shariputra, furthermore, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva does not truly see that form is truly assembled together with feeling. Similarly, feeling with perception, perception with formations, and formations are truly assembled together with consciousness, they do not truly see. Consciousness is truly assembled together with formations, they do not truly see. Why is that? Because of the emptiness of inherent nature, no dharma is truly assembled together with any dharma. Why is that? Shariputra, because the emptiness of form is not form, the emptiness of feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness is not consciousness. Why is that? Shariputra, because the emptiness of form is not that which exists as form, the emptiness of feeling is not feeling, the emptiness of perception is not completely knowing, the emptiness of formations is not manifestly forming, the emptiness of consciousness is not distinguishing. Why is that? Shariputra, because form is not other, and emptiness

Now also, it is not other. Emptiness is also not other, and form is also not other, because form itself is emptiness, and emptiness is also form. Likewise, feeling is also not other, and emptiness is also not other. Perception is also not other, and emptiness is also not other. Mental formations are also not other, and emptiness is also not other. Consciousness is also not other, and emptiness is also not other, because consciousness itself is emptiness, and emptiness is also consciousness. What is the reason for that? Shariputra, whatever is emptiness, that is unborn and unceasing, without all afflictions, without complete purification, without decrease, and without increase, because it is not past, nor future, nor presently occurring. Whatever is like this, there is no form, no feeling, no perception, no mental formations, no consciousness, no earth element, no water element, no fire element, no wind element, no space element, no consciousness element, no eye sense-base, no form sense-base, no ear sense-base, no sound sense-base, no nose sense-base, no smell sense-base, no tongue sense-base, no taste sense-base, no body sense-base, no touch sense-base, no mind sense-base, no dharma sense-base, no eye element, no form element, no eye consciousness element, no ear element, no sound element, no ear consciousness element, no nose element, no smell element, no nose consciousness element, no tongue element, no taste element, no tongue consciousness element, no body element, no touch element, no body consciousness element, no mind element, no dharma element, no mind consciousness element, no ignorance, no cessation of ignorance, no mental formations, no cessation of mental formations, no consciousness, no cessation of consciousness, name and
