Having completely transcended the eight grounds, what are the eight? They are: the ground of pure vision, the ground of lineage, the eighth ground, the ground of vision, the ground of attenuation, the ground of detachment from desire, the ground of accomplishing actions, and the ground of solitary buddhas. Having transcended the knowledge and vision shown in these eight grounds, one enters the bodhisattva path without error merely by knowing the aspects of the path. Having entered the bodhisattva path without error, one completely abandons all afflictions that connect to habitual tendencies through the wisdom of all-aspects-knowing. Subhuti, the wisdom of the eighth ground is the wisdom of the bodhisattva mahasattva's endurance entering the stream; the wisdom of abandonment is the bodhisattva ahasattva's endurance, the wisdom of once-returner; the abandonment is the bodhisattva mahasattva's endurance, the wisdom of non-returner; the abandonment is the bodhisattva mahasattva's endurance, the wisdom of arhat; the abandonment is the bodhisattva mahasattva's endurance, the wisdom of solitary buddha; the abandonment is the great endurance of the bodhisattva mahasattva. Therefore, the bodhisattva mahasattva has perfected the path of the hearers and solitary buddhas, and enters the bodhisattva path without error through the wisdom of merely knowing the aspects of the path. Having entered the bodhisattva path without error, one completely abandons all afflictions that connect to habitual tendencies through all-aspects-knowing. Subhuti, thus, the bodhisattva mahasattva, having perfected all paths, manifestly and completely awakens to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and becomes a near resource for all sentient beings like a fruit. The Twenty-Five Thousand Verse Perfection of Wisdom, the Sixty-Third Chapter. Question: Blessed One, among the traces of the hearers, the traces of the solitary buddhas, and the traces of the buddhas, which is the trace of merely knowing the aspects of the path? Blessed One
