One should fully understand, and one should not be discouraged or intimidated by what is called fully understanding and not fully understanding. One should practice the noble truths, the dhyanas, the immeasurables, the formless attainments, the eight liberations, the nine successive abidings, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, supernormal knowledges, samadhi, and the gateways of dharani, and one should not be discouraged or intimidated. One should see and transcend the fruit of stream-enterer, the fruit of once-returner, the fruit of non-returner, the state of arhat, and the knowledge of solitary enlightenment, and one should not be discouraged or intimidated. One should perfect the ten bhumis of a bodhisattva, and one should not be discouraged or intimidated. One should enter the faultless conduct of a bodhisattva, and one should not be discouraged or intimidated. One should purify the Buddha-field, and one should ripen all sentient beings, and one should not be discouraged or intimidated. One should generate the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, and the four analytical knowledges, and one should not be discouraged or intimidated. One should generate great love, great compassion, and the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, and one should not be discouraged or intimidated. One should attain omniscience, and one should not be discouraged or intimidated. One should abandon all afflictions associated with habitual tendencies, and one should not be discouraged or intimidated. Why is that? Because self-nature does not retreat from self-nature, and non-things do not retreat from non-things. Apart from self-nature and non-things, there is no other dharma that retreats, nor is there anything to retreat from. Therefore, Subhuti, form is without retreat. Feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness are without retreat. The sense bases, elements, and dependent origination are without retreat. All the perfections, all the emptinesses, and the

The noble truths, the dhyanas, the immeasurables, the formless attainments, the liberations, the successive abidings, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, clairvoyance, samadhi, and the doors of dharani are without object. The fruit of stream-entry is without object. The fruit of once-returning, the fruit of non-returning, and arhatship are without object. Solitary enlightenment is without object. The bodhisattva grounds are without object. The faultlessness of a bodhisattva is without object. Purifying the Buddha-field and maturing sentient beings are without object. The ten powers of the Tathagata, the fearlessnesses, the individual perfect knowledges, and the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha are without object. Omniscience is without object. Abandoning all the afflictions that connect with habitual tendencies is without object. Subhuti, thus a bodhisattva mahasattva should practice the Prajnaparamita that is without object. Subhuti, thus also form has no intrinsic nature. Feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness have no intrinsic nature. The sense bases, the elements, and dependent origination have no intrinsic nature. All the perfections and all the emptinesses and the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment have no intrinsic nature.
