Then, the non-attending Subhuti said: Kausika, whatever mind is completely dedicated, that is not mind. Whatever is the mind of enlightenment, that is also not mind. Thus, whatever is not mind is inconceivable. Whatever is inconceivable is not mind. That which is not mind is also not completely dedicated to that which is not mind. The inconceivable is also not completely dedicated to the inconceivable. Thus, whatever is not mind is inconceivable. Whatever is inconceivable is not mind. Whatever thus individually understands all dharmas, and has no manifest attachment to any dharma and is non-attending, this is, Kausika, the Prajnaparamita of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva. Then, the Blessed One said to the venerable Subhuti: Subhuti, it is good, good that you thus show the Prajnaparamita to the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas and generate faith. Subhuti, good, good! Subhuti said: Blessed One, I remember the kindness of the Tathagata, and I will not be ungrateful. Why is that? It is because, like this, when the former Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Ones were dwelling, those Shravakas advised the six perfections to those Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Ones when they were formerly Bodhisattvas, and subsequently taught them, making them rejoice and truly encouraging them, and praising them well, and greatly rejoicing and abiding, and making them extremely stable. When they were formerly Bodhisattvas, they practiced the six perfections, and the Blessed One attained the Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment. Blessed One, likewise, I will also advise the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas to practice the six perfections. I will subsequently teach them. I will make them rejoice. I will truly encourage them. I will praise them well. I will greatly rejoice them. I will make them laugh. I will make them extremely stable.

Thus I do. I have thus instructed the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas in the six perfections, shown them accordingly, made them rejoice, truly exhorted them, praised them well, made them exceedingly rejoice, arranged them, and made them exceedingly firm, so that they will also awaken to unsurpassable, perfectly complete enlightenment. Then the venerable Subhuti said to the Lord of the Gods, Indra, as follows: Kauśika, therefore, listen very well and keep it in mind. I will explain how a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should abide in the Perfection of Wisdom and how he should not abide. Kauśika, form is empty of form. Feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness are empty of consciousness. A Bodhisattva is empty of a Bodhisattva. Kauśika, thus, form's emptiness, feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness's emptiness, and a Bodhisattva's emptiness are non-dual and cannot be made dual. Kauśika, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should abide in the Perfection of Wisdom in this way. Kauśika, furthermore, the eye is empty of the eye. The ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind are empty of the mind. A Bodhisattva is empty of a Bodhisattva. Kauśika, thus, the eye's emptiness, the ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind's emptiness, and a Bodhisattva's emptiness are non-dual and cannot be made dual. Kauśika, furthermore, form is empty of form. Sound, smell, taste, touch, and phenomena are empty of phenomena. A Bodhisattva is empty of a Bodhisattva. Kauśika, thus, form's emptiness, sound, smell, taste, touch, and phenomena's emptiness, and a Bodhisattva's emptiness are non-dual and cannot be made dual. Kauśika, furthermore, eye consciousness is empty of eye consciousness. Ear consciousness, nose consciousness, tongue consciousness, body consciousness, and mind consciousness are empty of mind consciousness.
