The contact arising from the gathering of the eye, the contact arising from the gathering of the nose, the contact arising from the gathering of the tongue, the contact arising from the gathering of the body, and the contact arising from the gathering of the mind are not permanent, they are not perishable. Why is that? Because its nature is such. O son of Śāradvatī, endowed with life, the feeling caused by the contact arising from the gathering of the eye is not permanent, it is not perishable. Why is that? Because its nature is such. The feeling caused by the contact arising from the gathering of the ear, the feeling caused by the contact arising from the gathering of the nose, the feeling caused by the contact arising from the gathering of the tongue, the feeling caused by the contact arising from the gathering of the body, and the feeling caused by the contact arising from the gathering of the mind are not permanent, they are not perishable. Why is that? Because its nature is such. O son of Śāradvatī, endowed with life, the earth element is not permanent, it is not perishable. Why is that? Because its nature is such. The water element, the fire element, the wind element, the space element, and the consciousness element are not permanent, they are not perishable. Why is that? Because its nature is such. O son of Śāradvatī, endowed with life, ignorance is not permanent, it is not perishable. Why is that? Because its nature is such. Formations and consciousness, and name and form, and the six sense sources and contact, and feeling and craving, and grasping and existence, and birth and old age and death are not permanent, they are not perishable. Why is that? Because its nature is such. O son of Śāradvatī, endowed with life, the perfection of giving is not permanent, it is not perishable. Why is that? Because its nature is such. The perfection of ethics, and the perfection of patience, and the perfection of diligence, and the perfection of meditation, and the perfection of wisdom are not permanent, they are not perishable. Why is that? Because its nature is such. O son of Śāradvatī, endowed with life, inner emptiness is not permanent, it is not perishable. Why is that? Because its nature is such. Outer emptiness is not permanent, it is not perishable. Why is that? Because its nature is such.
