It is the complete abandonment of slandering others by the courageous great Bodhisattva. Among them, how should a Bodhisattva Mahasattva completely abandon the paths of the ten non-virtuous actions? These are like this: if they even create obstacles to happy migrations, what need is there to mention the noble path? What need is there to mention unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment? One should abandon them, thus abandoning them. This is the complete abandonment of the paths of the ten non-virtuous actions by a Bodhisattva Mahasattva. Among them, how should a Bodhisattva Mahasattva completely abandon excessive pride? It is like this: if he has not truly seen any Dharma, what need is there to mention the excessive pride that would cause pride? He does not become proud. This is the complete abandonment of excessive pride by a Bodhisattva Mahasattva. Among them, how should a Bodhisattva Mahasattva completely abandon arrogance? It is like this: he does not truly see any object that would cause arrogance to arise. This is the complete abandonment of arrogance by a Bodhisattva Mahasattva. Among them, how should a Bodhisattva Mahasattva completely abandon perversions? It is not fixating on things. This is the complete abandonment of perversions by a Bodhisattva Mahasattva. Among them, how does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva not abandon attachment, hatred, and ignorance? It is like this: he does not truly see attachment, hatred, and ignorance. This is how a Bodhisattva Mahasattva does not abandon attachment, hatred, and ignorance. Among those six, what is it that should completely perfect the six Dharmas? It is like this: the six paramitas, namely, the paramita of generosity, the paramita of ethics, the paramita of patience, the paramita of diligence, the paramita of meditation, and the paramita of wisdom, should be completely perfected. Why is that? That

Thus abiding in these six perfections, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, have crossed to the other shore of the five oceans of knowledge. Crossed. Will cross. What are the five? Namely: past, future, present arising, unspeakable, and unconditioned. Thus, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva should perfect the six perfections. How should the Bodhisattva Mahasattva abandon the six dharmas? Thus, since that is not the path to Bodhi, the mind of the Shravaka should be completely abandoned. Thus, since that is not the path to Bodhi, the mind of the Pratyekabuddha should be completely abandoned. Thus, since that is not the path to Bodhi, the mind of existence should be completely abandoned. Thus, since that is not the path to Bodhi, one should not generate a timid mind upon seeing a beggar. Thus, since that is not the path to Bodhi, one should not be displeased by completely giving away all things. Thus, since that is not the path to Bodhi, from the initial generation of the mind, one should not have a miserly mind, but should completely give. Thus, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva should abandon the six dharmas. How should the Bodhisattva Mahasattva not cling to self? Namely, because this self is truly non-existent. Thus, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva should not cling to self. How should one not cling to sentient beings, life, and persons? Namely, because these are truly non-existent. Thus, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva should not cling to sentient beings, life, and persons. How should the Bodhisattva Mahasattva not cling to annihilation? Namely, because all dharmas are truly unborn, and because no dharma is annihilated. Thus, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva should not cling to annihilation. How should the Bodhisattva Mahasattva not cling to permanence? Namely, in that dharma where there is no birth, there is no permanence
