What is it that a Bodhisattva Mahasattva does not abandon all sentient beings? Just like this, to completely protect all sentient beings. This is what a Bodhisattva Mahasattva does not abandon all sentient beings. What is the great compassion that a Bodhisattva Mahasattva should manifest? When a Bodhisattva Mahasattva engages in the conduct of a Bodhisattva, thinking thus: For the sake of each and every sentient being, I shall remain in the hells for as many kalpas as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River. Until all sentient beings are established in the wisdom of the Buddhas, I shall experience being cut, trampled, beaten, cooked, burned, and so on. Likewise, for the benefit of all sentient beings, without weariness or discouragement. This is the great compassion that a Bodhisattva Mahasattva should manifest. What is it that a Bodhisattva Mahasattva should attend to, honor the guru, and respectfully venerate with faith? Just like this, to regard the gurus as teachers. This is what a Bodhisattva Mahasattva should attend to, honor the guru, and respectfully venerate with faith. What is it that a Bodhisattva Mahasattva diligently seeks and searches for the Paramitas? For example, in order to fully ripen all sentient beings without any other activity, to fully seek the Paramitas without any other activity. This is what a Bodhisattva Mahasattva diligently seeks and searches for the Paramitas. What is it that a Bodhisattva Mahasattva is never satisfied with hearing, no matter how much they hear? Just like this, whatever the Buddhas, the Bhagavad Ones, have taught in this world or in the realms of the ten directions, all of that should be completely embraced.
