For the sake of a limited number of beings, one abides in the perfection of generosity, but does not give completely; for the sake of all beings, one engages in the perfection of generosity, and gives completely. For the sake of a limited number of beings, one abides in the perfection of discipline, but does not uphold discipline; for the sake of all beings, one engages in the perfection of discipline, and upholds discipline. For the sake of a limited number of beings, one abides in the perfection of patience, but does not cultivate patience; for the sake of all beings, one engages in the perfection of patience, and cultivates patience. For the sake of a limited number of beings, one abides in the perfection of diligence, but does not exert diligence; for the sake of all beings, one engages in the perfection of diligence, and exerts diligence. For the sake of a limited number of beings, one abides in the perfection of meditation, but does not generate meditation; for the sake of all beings, one engages in the perfection of meditation, and generates meditation. For the sake of a limited number of beings, one abides in the perfection of wisdom, but does not cultivate wisdom; for the sake of all beings, one engages in the perfection of wisdom, and cultivates wisdom. The Bodhisattva Mahasattva does not put on armor with the thought of how many beings he will be able to lead into the realm of complete nirvana without remainder of aggregates, or how many beings he will not be able to lead, or how many beings he will be able to establish in enlightenment, or how many beings he will not be able to establish, thus discriminating among beings. The Bodhisattva Mahasattva puts on the great armor for the sake of all beings. He thinks thus: "I too shall perfect the perfection of generosity, and I shall also establish all beings in the perfection of generosity. I shall also perfect the perfection of discipline, the perfection of patience, the perfection of diligence, and the perfection of meditation."

and the perfection of wisdom, may they be completely fulfilled. May all sentient beings also be joined with the perfection of wisdom. May I also abide in all emptiness, the dharmas of the path to enlightenment, the noble truths, the dhyanas, the immeasurables, and the formless absorptions. May all sentient beings also be joined with the formless absorptions. May I also abide in the eight liberations, the nine successive abidings in absorption, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, the superknowledges, the samadhis, the doors of dharani, the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, and the eighteen unshared dharmas of the Buddha. May all sentient beings also be joined with the eighteen unshared dharmas of the Buddha. Thus generate the mind. O son of Sharadvati, endowed with life, by this much, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva is said to have donned the great armor. The Twenty-five Thousand Stanza Perfection of Wisdom, Volume Fourteen. Furthermore, O son of Sharadvati, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, whatever giving is completely given, it is not with the mind associated with the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, but it is completely given with the mind associated with the knowledge of all aspects. And that root of virtue is made common with all sentient beings and dedicated to the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment. This is the armor of the Perfection of Giving of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who practices the Perfection of Wisdom and completely gives giving. Furthermore, O son of Sharadvati, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, with a mind associated with the knowledge of all aspects, completely gives giving and does not dedicate it to the purpose of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. The armor of morality paramita for perfect giving. Furthermore, Sharadvatiputra, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, with the intention of possessing all-knowingness, endures, believes in, and relies on those dharmas, this is the armor of patience paramita for a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practicing prajna-paramita, which is perfect giving. Furthermore, Sharadvatiputra, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is perfect in giving, with the intention of possessing all-knowingness, not being lazy in diligence, this is the armor of diligence paramita for a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practicing prajna-paramita, which is perfect giving. Furthermore, Sharadvatiputra, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is perfect in giving, thus with the intention of possessing all-knowingness, making the mind one-pointed, and with that one-pointedness, not generating a mind associated with hearers and solitary realizers, this is the armor of meditation paramita for a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practicing prajna-paramita, which is perfect giving. Furthermore, Sharadvatiputra, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices prajna-paramita and is perfect in giving, with the intention of possessing all-knowingness, abiding closely with the perception that all dharmas are like illusions, not focusing on the giving, not focusing on the giver, and not focusing on the receiver, and that root of virtue is also made common with all sentient beings, and dedicating it in a way that does not focus on unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, this is the armor of wisdom paramita for a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practicing prajna-paramita, which is perfect giving.
