And it is the realization of the wisdom of superknowledge. That is, in order to manifest the recollection of past lives, one realizes various kinds of wisdom of superknowledge. From remembering one mind, one also remembers up to a hundred minds. From one day to a hundred days, from one month to a hundred months, from one year to a hundred years, from one kalpa to a hundred kalpas, from many hundreds of kalpas to many thousands of kalpas, remembering many hundreds of thousands of millions of kalpas, I used to live in such and such a place, my name was this, my clan was this, my race was this, my food was like this, my duration was this long, the end of my life was to this extent. Like that, I died and transmigrated from there, and was born in such and such a place, and from there I died and transmigrated and was born here, etc., along with the appearance, along with the reason, along with the bad signs, remembering various past lives of oneself and others. With that wisdom of superknowledge to manifest the recollection of past lives, there is no becoming arrogant. That is like this, that wisdom is not wisdom, because it is inconceivable. There is no arrogance in saying, "That is what I fully know," because that wisdom itself is empty of inherent existence, peaceful in inherent existence, and unborn in inherent existence. With what does one become arrogant? Such wisdom is not perceived. That is, one does not even generate the slightest thought for the sake of the meaning of the wisdom of recollection, except to keep in mind the all-knowingness itself. Sharadvatiputra, therefore, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he realizes the wisdom of superknowledge that manifests the recollection of past lives. That is, with pure, superhuman divine eyes, one also fully knows the death and birth of sentient beings, the ugly and the not-ugly colors, the good and the bad, those who dwell in the lower realms and those who dwell in the happy realms, etc. These sentient beings possess evil conduct with their bodies, possess evil conduct with their speech, possess with their minds

are endowed with evil conduct, slander the noble ones, and hold wrong views. Due to that cause and that condition, after the body breaks down, they fall into bad destinies, bad migrations, and wrong falls, and are born in the hells of sentient beings. These sentient beings are endowed with good conduct of body, endowed with good conduct of speech, endowed with good conduct of mind, do not slander the noble ones, and are right-view holders. Due to that cause and that condition, after the body breaks down, they will be born in the happy migrations of the heavenly realms. Knowing this well, thus, all the realms of the ten directions, filled with the sphere of Dharma, reaching the limits of space, the birth and death of those belonging to the six migrations are truly known as they are, and yet there is no becoming of conceit. It is like this: the eye is not the eye, because it is inconceivable, and there is no conceit in saying, "I have seen it." Also, because it is emptiness of self-nature, and devoid of self-nature, and unborn of self-nature, such an eye that would become conceit is not perceived, except for keeping in mind the all-knowingness itself, and not even generating the thought of a divine eye, or the thought of actualizing a divine eye. Sharadvatiputra, thus, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, practicing the Perfection of Wisdom, is actualizing the wisdom of clairvoyance to be made manifest as the divine eye. Although he actualizes the wisdom of clairvoyance to be made manifest as the exhaustion of defilements, he does not attain the level of a Hearer or the level of a Solitary Buddha. He also does not see any Dharma that would become unsurpassed and perfectly complete Enlightenment. Having attained the Vajra-like Samadhi by that clairvoyance, he completely abandons all the afflictions that connect the predispositions, and with the clairvoyance to be made manifest as the exhaustion of defilements, there is no becoming of conceit. It is like this: that wisdom itself is not wisdom, because it is inconceivable, and there is no conceit in saying, "I have fully understood it." Also, because it is emptiness of self-nature.

, and because of the emptiness of self-nature, and because of the unborn nature, therefore, such a direct perception that actualizes the wisdom of the exhaustion of defilements, which transforms into pride with what, is not focused on. That is, without focusing on the all-knowingness itself, one does not even generate the thought of the wisdom of the exhaustion of defilements, or the thought of the direct perception that actualizes the wisdom of the exhaustion of defilements. Thus, Sharadvatiputra, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices in the Prajnaparamita, it is the direct perception that actualizes the wisdom of the exhaustion of defilements. Sharadvatiputra, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices in the Prajnaparamita in this way and perfects the six superknowledges, it increases through the unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment. Sharadvatiputra, in this way also, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices in the Prajnaparamita, abiding in the Dana Paramita, because of the emptiness that transcends the limits, by holding the mind without attachment, there are also those who train the path of all-knowingness. Sharadvatiputra, in this way also, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, when practicing in the Prajnaparamita, abides in the Shila Paramita, and because of the emptiness that transcends the limits, by holding without committing transgressions, there are also those who train the path of all-knowingness. Sharadvatiputra, in this way also, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices in the Prajnaparamita, abiding in the Kshanti Paramita, because of the emptiness that transcends the limits, by holding without anger, there are also those who train the path of all-knowingness. Sharadvatiputra, in this way also, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices in the Prajnaparamita, abiding in the Virya Paramita, because of the emptiness that transcends the limits, by holding the indestructible diligence of body and mind, there are also those who train the path of all-knowingness. Sharadvatiputra, in this way also, a Bodhisattva
