Chapter Two. Chapter Two. At that time, the Blessed One, having realized that the world with its gods, demons, and Brahma, along with the multitude of beings including ascetics and Brahmins, and the many assembled gods, humans, and asuras, and that many Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, mostly young, were gathered there, the Blessed One addressed the venerable son of Sharadvati, saying: "Son of Sharadvati, if a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva wishes to fully awaken to all dharmas in all aspects, they should diligently practice the Perfection of Wisdom." Having spoken thus, the venerable son of Sharadvati said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, how should a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, wishing to fully awaken to all dharmas in all aspects, diligently practice the Perfection of Wisdom?" Having spoken thus, the Blessed One said to the venerable son of Sharadvati: "Son of Sharadvati, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should abide in the Perfection of Wisdom in a non-abiding manner, and because of not fixating on giving, generosity, and receiving, they should perfect the Perfection of Giving in a manner of not abandoning. Because of the absence of actions of falling and not falling, they should perfect the Perfection of Ethical Conduct. Because of the absence of conflict, they should perfect the Perfection of Patience. Because of the unflagging diligence of body and mind, they should perfect the Perfection of Diligence. Because of the absence of savoring flavors, they should perfect the Perfection of Meditation. Because of not fixating on all dharmas, they should perfect the Perfection of Wisdom. Son of Sharadvati, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, abiding in the Perfection of Wisdom, because of not fixating on mindfulness, should perfect the four mindfulnesses. The four right abandonments, the four legs of miraculous power, the five faculties, the five powers, and the limbs of enlightenment.
