Also, the Perfection of Wisdom is not truly seen in accordance with reality. Also, the name of the Perfection of Wisdom is not truly seen in accordance with reality. Also, what is called "conduct" is not truly seen in accordance with reality. Also, what is called "non-conduct" is not truly seen in accordance with reality. Also, what is called "conduct and non-conduct" is not truly seen in accordance with reality. Also, what is called "neither conduct nor non-conduct" is not truly seen in accordance with reality. Also, form is not truly seen in accordance with reality. Also, feeling is not truly seen in accordance with reality. Also, perception is not truly seen in accordance with reality. Also, mental formation is not truly seen in accordance with reality. Also, consciousness is not truly seen in accordance with reality. Why is that? Sharadvatiputra, the Bodhisattva is also empty by the nature of Bodhisattva. Also, the name of Bodhisattva is empty by the name of Bodhisattva. Why is that? Its nature is such that emptiness is not empty by form, nor is there emptiness apart from form; form itself is emptiness, and emptiness is form. Emptiness is not empty by feeling, nor is there emptiness apart from feeling; feeling itself is emptiness, and emptiness is feeling. Emptiness is not empty by perception, nor is there emptiness apart from perception; perception itself is emptiness, and emptiness is perception. Emptiness is not empty by mental formation, nor is there emptiness apart from mental formation; mental formation itself is emptiness, and emptiness is mental formation. Emptiness is not empty by consciousness, nor is there emptiness apart from consciousness; consciousness itself is emptiness, and emptiness is consciousness. Why is that? It is like this: what is called "enlightenment" is also just a name. It is like this: what is called "Bodhisattva" is also just a name. It is like this: what is called "emptiness" is also just a name. It is like this: what is called "form, feeling, perception, mental formation, and consciousness" is also just a name.

Furthermore, in this way, form is like an illusion. Feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness are also like illusions. An illusion is merely a name; it does not exist in any direction, nor does it exist in any place. Therefore, seeing an illusion is not seeing something that exists; it has not arisen, it has not changed, it has no inherent nature, it has no self-nature, it is unborn, it is unceasing, it has no abiding place, it does not increase, it does not decrease, it is not completely defiled, it is not completely purified. Thus, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who practices in this way does not truly see the arising of any dharma, nor does he truly see its cessation, nor does he truly see its abiding, nor does he truly see its increase, nor does he truly see its decrease, nor does he truly see its complete defilement, nor does he truly see its complete purification, nor does he truly see form, nor does he truly see feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness, nor does he truly see what is called Bodhi or Bodhisattva. Why is that? Because the individual names of all dharmas are illusions. Those conceptualizations are merely names that arise temporarily, they are not real, but are designated as conventions for the sake of communication. Because of attachment to conventions, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, he does not truly see any dharma, because there is no object of attachment. Because he does not truly see, there is no attachment, no pride, no clinging. Sharadvatiputra, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, he understands in this way: the so-called Bodhisattva is merely a name, the so-called Bodhi is merely a name, the so-called Buddha is merely a name, the so-called Prajnaparamita is merely a name, the so-called practice of Prajnaparamita is merely a name, the so-called form is also merely a name.

The term 'knowing' is just a name. For example, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness are just names. Sharadvatiputra, for example, the term 'I, I' is spoken in conventional terms, but if one thoroughly examines it as it truly is, there is nothing to be found. The term 'sentient being, sentient being' is spoken in conventional terms, but if one thoroughly examines it as it truly is, there is nothing to be found. The term 'life, life' is spoken in conventional terms, but if one thoroughly examines it as it truly is, it is not found because of emptiness, which is invisible. Similarly, for example, nurturer, man, person, powerful one, lord of power, doer, one who causes to do, feeler, one who causes to feel, beggar, universal beggar, knower, seer, toucher, and discriminator are all spoken in conventional terms, but if one thoroughly examines them as they truly are, they are not found because of emptiness, which is invisible, and are only spoken of in terms of names and symbols. Similarly, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he does not truly see a Bodhisattva. He does not truly see enlightenment. He does not truly see a Buddha. He does not truly see the Perfection of Wisdom. He does not truly see that he is practicing the Perfection of Wisdom. He does not truly see form. He does not truly see feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness. He does not truly see the name by which anything is named. Thus, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who practices the Perfection of Wisdom, except for the wisdom of the Tathagata, overwhelms all the wisdom of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, which are not the wisdom of the Tathagata, by holding onto emptiness, which is invisible. Why is that? Because, in this way, what he manifests attachment to is also not found, Sharadvatiputra.
