For example, like this, for instance, the sun's disc, abiding in dominance over all other lights, is beautiful and radiant, clear, and resounding! Similarly, the Bhagavan in the ten directions of the world, together with the gods, together with Indra, together with Brahma, together with the Pure Abodes, abiding in dominance, is also beautiful with light, body color, splendor, and glory, radiant, clear, and resounding! Then, again, the Bhagavan, in this realm of the three-thousand great-thousand world system, the Bhagavan showed the self-nature body as it is. Flowers, garlands, incense, unguents, powders, and so on, as well as clothing, ornaments, umbrellas, banners, and flags, all of them immediately, through the blessings of the Blessed One, a palace of flowers and so on in the sky above the Blessed One's head, stood established as large as the three-thousand great-thousand world system. From that palace, many divine flowers and silk streamers hung down. They hung down visibly. They hung down exceedingly. Those flowers and silk streamers made this three-thousand great-thousand world system extremely beautiful. The light of the Blessed One, like the color of gold, was also extremely beautiful, shining, distinct, and bright. Just as in this three-thousand great-thousand world system, so too, the world systems in the eastern direction, as many as the sands of the Ganges River, were pervaded and illuminated by the light of the Blessed One. In each of the directions of the south, west, north, northeast, southeast, southwest, northwest, as well as the directions of below and above, world systems as many as the sands of the Ganges River, were pervaded and illuminated by the light of the Blessed One. Then, the people of Jambudvipa, seeing the Tathagata's body, were unable to be satisfied by looking, and thought to themselves: 'The Tathagata is dwelling before us and teaching the Dharma.' Just as the people of Jambudvipa thought, so too, between the western Aparagodaniya, the eastern Purvavideha, the northern Uttarakuru, the gods of the retinue of the Four Great Kings, and the gods of Akanistha, as well as the thousandfold world, the two-thousandfold world, and the three-thousand great-thousand world system, all the people and all the gods, seeing the Tathagata's body, were unable to be satisfied by looking, and thought to themselves:

Thinking, 'The Tathagata is dwelling before us and teaching the Dharma.' Then, the Bhagavan, while seated on that lion throne, emitted a great radiance. Again, that radiance illuminated this entire three-thousand great thousand world system. The east, south, west, north, northeast, southeast, southwest, northwest directions, and the directions below and above, each and every direction illuminated world systems as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River. That radiance caused all sentient beings in this three-thousand great thousand world system to see many Tathagatas, Arhats, Samyaksambuddhas, together with the Sangha of Shravakas and the retinue of Bodhisattvas, in world systems as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River in the eastern direction. In those world systems as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River in the eastern direction, all the sentient beings residing there also saw the Bhagavan, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Samyaksambuddha Shakyamuni in this three-thousand great thousand world system, together with the Sangha of Bhikshus and the retinue of Bodhisattvas. In the south, west, north, northeast, southeast, southwest, northwest directions, and the directions below and above, in those world systems as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, all the sentient beings residing there also saw the Bhagavan, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Samyaksambuddha Shakyamuni in this three-thousand great thousand world system, together with the Sangha of Bhikshus and the retinue of Bodhisattvas. Then, in the eastern direction, beyond world systems as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, there exists a world system called 'Existing Jewel.' There, a Tathagata, Arhat, Samyaksambuddha named Ratnakara dwells and teaches. He is instructing Bodhisattvas.
