will not arise. Therefore, if you become agitated with each other, beings will be born in hell, or born in the animal realm, or born in the world of Yama. Therefore, do not give even the slightest opportunity for an agitated mind. Later you will regret it, thus the Dharma is taught. To all lazy beings, the Dharma is taught thus: Hey, you beings, laziness is suffering. Laziness cannot even accomplish one's own purpose, let alone the purpose of others. The ripening of laziness is that beings are in hell, or in the animal realm, or in the world of Yama. If you fall into the three lower realms, we ourselves will not be able to save you, let alone save others. Therefore, do not give even the slightest opportunity for a lazy mind. Later you will regret it, thus the Dharma is taught. To all beings with wandering minds, the Dharma is taught thus: Hey, you beings, a wandering mind is suffering. The ripening of a wandering mind is that beings are in hell, or in the animal realm, or in the world of Yama. If you fall into the three lower realms, we ourselves will not be able to save you, let alone save others. Therefore, do not give even the slightest opportunity for a wandering mind. Later you will regret it, thus the Dharma is taught. To all beings who lack wisdom, the Dharma is taught thus: Hey, you beings, lacking wisdom is suffering. Lacking wisdom cannot even accomplish one's own purpose, let alone the purpose of others. The ripening of lacking wisdom is that beings are in hell, or in the animal realm, or in the world of Yama. Therefore, do not give even the slightest opportunity for a mind lacking wisdom. Later you will regret it, thus the Dharma is taught. For all actions of desire, combine them with the unattractive. For all actions of hatred, combine them with loving-kindness. For all actions of delusion, however many

Furthermore, they connect those beings with dependent origination. Those who have entered the wrong path, they lead them to the right path, either the path of the Hearers, the path of the Solitary Buddhas, or the path of the Buddhas, and they teach them the Dharma, saying: "The Dharma to which you are attached is empty of inherent existence. One cannot be attached to Dharmas that are empty of inherent existence, and there is no attachment to emptiness." Subhuti, in this way, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, they abide in supernormal knowledges and benefit sentient beings. With their pure, superhuman divine eye, they see all the worlds in the eastern direction. They go there through supernormal power and benefit sentient beings with generosity, ethics, patience, diligence, meditation, wisdom, mindfulness, the right abandonments, the legs of magical power, the faculties, the powers, the branches of enlightenment, the eightfold noble path, the gate of liberation of emptiness, the gate of liberation of signlessness, the gate of liberation of wishlessness, meditations, immeasurables, formless absorptions, liberations, samadhis, the samadhis of gradual abiding, the powers of the Thus-Gone Ones, fearlessnesses, separate knowledges, unmixed Buddha-dharmas, the Dharma of the Hearers, the Dharma of the Solitary Buddhas, the Dharma of the Bodhisattvas, and the Dharma of the Buddhas, and they do the work of sentient beings. To those sentient beings who are miserly, they teach the Dharma, saying: "Give alms! Poverty is suffering. The poor cannot accomplish their own benefit, let alone the benefit of others. Therefore, give alms, and make yourselves and others happy! Poverty is overcome by all faults, eating one's own flesh, falling into the lower realms."
