Rabjor, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he abides in the superknowledges and benefits sentient beings. With his pure, superhuman divine eye, he sees all the world realms in the southern direction. He goes to those realms by means of miraculous power and benefits sentient beings with generosity, discipline, patience, diligence, meditative concentration, wisdom, or the establishment of dhyanas, or the abandonment of right exertions, or the miraculous feet, or the faculties, or the powers, or the limbs of enlightenment, or the eightfold noble path, or the doors of liberation—emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, or the dhyanas, or the immeasurables, or the formless attainments, or the liberations, or the samadhis, or the ultimate abiding samadhis, or the powers of the Tathagata, or the fearlessnesses, or the separate correct knowledges, or the unmixed qualities of the Buddha, or the Dharma of the Hearers, or the Dharma of the Solitary Buddhas, or the Dharma of the Bodhisattvas, or the Dharma of the Buddhas. He benefits sentient beings with the Dharma of the Buddhas and does the work of sentient beings. To those sentient beings who are miserly, he teaches the Dharma thus: "Give alms, for poverty is suffering. Because of poverty, one cannot even do one's own work, let alone benefit others. Therefore, give alms and make yourselves happy, and make others happy as well. Poverty oppresses, one eats one's own flesh, and one cannot escape the three lower realms." Thus he teaches the Dharma. To those sentient beings who are immoral, he teaches the Dharma thus: "O noble ones, immorality is suffering. Because of immorality, one cannot even do one's own work, let alone benefit others. The ripening of immorality is the realm of sentient beings in hell, or the animal realm, or the realm of Yama. Therefore, if you fall into the three lower realms, you cannot even save yourselves, let alone

What need is there to mention benefit? Therefore, you should not give even the slightest opportunity to thoughts of bad morality. Later you will become regretful, thus the Dharma is taught. To those sentient beings who harbor malice towards each other, the Dharma is taught thus: Do not harbor malice towards each other. If the mind is disturbed, no virtuous Dharma will arise. Therefore, if you become disturbed in mind towards each other, sentient beings will be born in hell, or born in the animal realm, or born in the world of Yama. Therefore, you should not give even the slightest opportunity to a disturbed mind. Later you will become regretful, thus the Dharma is taught. To those sentient beings who are lazy, the Dharma is taught thus: O beings, laziness is suffering. Laziness cannot even accomplish one's own benefit, what need is there to mention the benefit of others? The result of laziness is that sentient beings will be born in hell, or in the animal realm, or in the world of Yama. If you fall into the three lower realms, we ourselves will not be able to save you, what need is there to mention saving others? Therefore, you should not give even the slightest opportunity to a lazy mind. Later you will become regretful, thus the Dharma is taught. To those sentient beings whose minds are distracted, the Dharma is taught thus: O beings, a distracted mind is suffering. The result of a distracted mind is that sentient beings will be born in hell, or in the animal realm, or in the world of Yama.

It is a place of falling. It is the world of Yama. Therefore, you should not abandon even a few opportunities for the mind of the wise subduer. Later, he taught that he hoped to become a regretful person. Whatever the behavior of desire is, it is applied to the unlovable. Whatever the behavior of hatred is, it is applied to love. Whatever the behavior of ignorance is, it is applied to dependent origination. Whatever enters the evil path is also applied to the right path, that is, the path of the Hearer, the path of the Solitary Buddha, or the path of the Buddha, and he teaches them in this way: Whatever Dharma you manifest attachment to, that Dharma is emptiness by its very nature. Dharmas that are empty by their very nature cannot manifest attachment, because there is no manifestation of attachment to emptiness. Subhuti, in this way, when the Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he abides in the superknowledges, Doing the work of sentient beings. With his pure and superhuman divine eye, he sees all the worlds of the West. He goes there by means of magical powers, and by means of generosity, discipline, patience, diligence, meditation, wisdom, mindfulness, right abandonment, miraculous feet, roots, powers, limbs of enlightenment, the Noble Eightfold Path, the gate of liberation of emptiness, the absence of characteristics and the absence of wishes, meditation, immeasurables, formless samadhi, liberation, samadhi, the samadhi of gradual abiding, the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four unhindered knowledges, the unshared Buddha Dharmas, the Hearer Dharma, the Solitary Buddha Dharma, the Bodhisattva Dharma, and the Buddha Dharma, he does the work of sentient beings, doing the work of those sentient beings, that is, the mind.
