It perfects the four noble truths. In the manner of signlessness, it perfects the doors to liberation: emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness. In the manner of signlessness, it perfects all the superknowledges. In the manner of signlessness, it perfects all the samadhis. In the manner of signlessness, it perfects all the doors of dharani. In the manner of signlessness, it perfects the ten powers of the Tathagata. In the manner of signlessness, it perfects the four fearlessnesses. In the manner of signlessness, it perfects the four analytical knowledges. In the manner of signlessness, it perfects great loving-kindness. In the manner of signlessness, it perfects great compassion. In the manner of signlessness, it perfects the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha. Having perfected those virtuous qualities, in the manner of signlessness, it also connects with those virtuous qualities. Subhuti, even if there were a sign as small as a fraction of a hair's tip, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he would not realize the Dharma as signless, unremembering, and without mental activity, and beings would not incline towards suchness and the uncontaminated Dharmas. Subhuti, all uncontaminated Dharmas are signless, unremembering, and without mental activity. Subhuti, thus, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he benefits all beings with the uncontaminated Dharmas. Petition: Blessed One, if all Dharmas are thus without signs, without remembrance, and without mental activity, then, Blessed One, how is it that these are virtuous Dharmas, these are non-virtuous Dharmas, these are worldly Dharmas, these are supramundane Dharmas, these are contaminated Dharmas, these

These are the dharmas without outflows. These are conditioned dharmas. These are unconditioned dharmas. These are common dharmas. These are uncommon dharmas. These are the dharmas of the Hearers. These are the dharmas of the Solitary Buddhas. These are the dharmas of the Bodhisattvas. These are the dharmas of the Buddhas. How should they be counted? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, what do you think? Is the signless also different from the dharmas of the Hearers? He replied: Blessed One, it is not so. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, what do you think? Is the signless also different from the dharmas of the Solitary Buddhas? Is the signless also different from the dharmas of the Bodhisattvas? The fruit of once-returning. The fruit of non-returning. Arhatship itself. Solitary Awakening. The dharma of Bodhisattvas. The dharma of Buddhas. He replied: Blessed One, it is so. Sugata, it is so. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, therefore, in this way, all dharmas should be known as signless. Subhuti, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva who trains in this signlessness of all dharmas increases with many virtuous dharmas. -ness, the emptiness of all dharmas, the emptiness of self-nature, the emptiness of no-sign, the emptiness of no-thing, the emptiness of essence, the emptiness of the essence of no-thing, the four mindfulnesses, the four right abandonments, the four legs of magical power, the five faculties, the five powers, the seven branches of enlightenment, the eightfold noble path, the four noble truths, the four dhyanas, the four immeasurables, the four formless absorptions, the eight liberations, the nine successive abidings, the door of liberation emptiness, no-sign, no-wish, the five superknowledges, all samadhis, all dharani doors, the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, great love, great compassion, the eighteen unshared dharmas of the Buddha, and countless other Buddha dharmas are increased. Why is that? Because the Bodhisattva Mahasattva has nothing else to learn except to learn emptiness, no-sign, and no-wish. Why is that? Because in these three doors of liberation, there is nothing that does not include all virtuous dharmas. For example, self-nature emptiness is the door of liberation of emptiness. Absence of signs is the door of liberation of no-sign. Non-action is the door of liberation of no-wish. The Bodhisattva Mahasattva who learns these three doors of liberation is learning the five aggregates, learning the twelve sources, learning the eighteen elements, learning the twelve branches of dependent origination, learning generosity paramita, learning discipline paramita, learning patience paramita, learning diligence paramita, learning meditation paramita, learning wisdom para-
