Up to the point of saying, "Born here," with various forms, places, and reasons, he recalls his past abodes in various ways. With the divine eye, which is pure and transcends humanity, he also sees the passing away and birth of sentient beings. He knows well that sentient beings approach according to their karma, possessing beautiful and ugly colors, good and bad qualities, dwelling in happy or miserable realms. He knows well that these sentient beings are endowed with evil conduct of body, evil conduct of speech, evil conduct of mind, slandering the noble ones, holding wrong views. Due to these causes and conditions, after the dissolution of the body, they fall into miserable realms and are born in hell. He knows well that these sentient beings are endowed with good conduct of body, good conduct of speech, good conduct of mind, not slandering the noble ones, holding right views. Due to these causes and conditions, after the dissolution of the body, they are born in happy realms, in the heavens. Because the outflows are exhausted, he truly knows the liberation of mind, the liberation of wisdom, and the absence of outflows as they are. These ten are the powers of the Thus-Gone One. Noble one, what are the four fearlessnesses of the Thus-Gone One? If someone vows, "You are a perfectly complete Buddha," and then someone says, "You have not realized these dharmas," then in the world, whether it be a renunciate, a brahmin, a god, a demon, a Brahma, or any other assembly of beings, they will argue with me according to the Dharma. Because I have not truly seen such a cause, I dwell in a supreme place, having obtained happiness, freedom from anxiety, and fearlessness, and I vow to roar the lion's roar in the midst of the assembly. I say that in the world, whether it be a renunciate, a brahmin, a god, a demon, a Brahma, or anyone else, no one can turn the wheel of Brahma according to the Dharma, but I will turn it completely. If I vow, "I have exhausted the outflows," then

If anyone says that these defilements have not been completely exhausted, then whether it be a renunciate, or a Brahmin, or a god, or a demon, or Brahma, or any other being, they will not be able to refute me in the world with the true Dharma. Because I have not truly seen such a cause, and since I have not truly seen such a cause, then I can obtain happiness, obtain freedom from worry, obtain fearlessness, and abide in the most excellent place, making a vow. I will roar the lion's roar in the assembly. I will turn the wheel of Brahma in the world, which neither renunciates, nor Brahmins, nor gods, nor demons, nor Brahma, nor anyone else can turn with the true Dharma. Whatever I rely on as obstructing dharmas, if I still rely on them, they will not become obstructing dharmas. If anyone says that whether it be a renunciate, or a Brahmin, or a god, or a demon, or Brahma, or any other being, they will not be able to refute me in the world with the true Dharma. Whatever I rely on that will cause me to realize the arising of the noble path, and that has been taught to cause suffering to be completely extinguished, if I still cling to them, then the complete extinction of suffering will not occur. If anyone says that whether it be a renunciate, or a Brahmin, or a god, or a demon, or Brahma, or any other being, they will not be able to refute me in the world with the true Dharma. Because I have not truly seen such a cause, and since I have not truly seen such a cause, then I can obtain happiness, obtain freedom from worry, obtain fearlessness, and abide in the most excellent place, making a vow.
