All conditioned things are impermanent, all conditioned things are suffering. All conditioned things are without self, all conditioned things are unstable. All conditioned things are unreliable, all conditioned things are subject to change. Who, seeing conditioned things, could be content to remain, knowing this and teaching the Dharma? Subhuti, I also, from here, with the Buddha's eye, observe the world, and in the southern world realms as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas teach the Dharma to the gods of the retinue of the Four Great Kings, and to the Thirty-three, the Yama, the Tushita, the Nirmanarati, and the Paranirmitavasavartin gods. Those sons of the gods, transformed by those Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, having heard that Dharma, gradually pass into complete Nirvana with three fears, are passing into complete Nirvana, and will pass into complete Nirvana. Subhuti, those sons of the gods who are mostly intoxicated by the five desirable qualities, I cause their palaces to appear to be burning, and knowing that they have become weary, I say to them: Friends, all conditioned things are impermanent, all conditioned things are suffering. All conditioned things are without self, all conditioned things are unstable. All conditioned things are unreliable, all conditioned things are subject to change. Who, seeing conditioned things, could be content to remain, knowing this and teaching the Dharma? Thereafter, (I) saw them gradually completely liberated from suffering by the three vehicles (paths), being liberated from suffering, and going to be liberated from suffering. Subhuti, to those sons of gods who were mostly intoxicated by the five desirable qualities, I made those immeasurable palaces appear to be burning, and knowing that they were weary, I said this: Friends, all conditioned phenomena are impermanent, all conditioned phenomena are suffering, all conditioned phenomena are without self, all conditioned phenomena are unstable, all conditioned phenomena are unreliable, all conditioned phenomena are of the nature of change, so who would be content to look at conditioned phenomena? (I) taught the Dharma. Subhuti, again from here, with the Buddha's eye, I looked at the world, and in the world in the southeast direction, as many as the sands of the Ganges River, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas taught the Dharma to the gods of the four great king families, and to the thirty-three gods, the Yama gods, the Tushita gods, the Nirmanarati gods, and the Paranirmita-vasavartin gods, and those Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, after those sons of gods heard the Dharma, saw them gradually completely liberated from suffering by the three vehicles (paths), being liberated from suffering, and going to be liberated from suffering.
