Having been born in the world of gods and the world of humans, until completely passing into nirvana in the realm of nirvana without remainder, I see those who will never be separated from the Buddhas, the Bhagavat. Subhuti, from here I observe the world with the eye of the Buddha, in the worlds in the northeast direction as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, for the sake of those sentient beings in the realm of pretas, all the sufferings in those realms of pretas are completely destroyed, and in order to abandon stinginess, they teach the Dharma, and those sentient beings in the realm of pretas generate loving-kindness towards those Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, and are liberated from those places of birth as pretas, and after they are liberated from those places of birth as pretas, with that root of virtue, they are born in the world of gods and the world of humans, until completely passing into nirvana in the realm of nirvana without remainder, I see those who will never be separated from the Buddhas, the Bhagavat. In realms as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas teach the Dharma to liberate sentient beings in the realm of pretas (hungry ghosts), to completely eliminate all suffering in those realms, and to abandon miserliness. Those sentient beings in the realm of pretas generate loving-kindness towards those Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas and are liberated from their existence as pretas. Having been liberated from their existence as pretas, they are reborn in the realms of gods and humans by virtue of their roots of virtue. Until they enter the realm of nirvana without remainder and attain ultimate nirvana, they will see the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and will never be separated from them. O Subhuti, from here, with the Buddha's eye, I observe the world, and in the northwest direction, in realms as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas teach the Dharma to liberate sentient beings in the realm of pretas, to completely eliminate all suffering in those realms, and to abandon miserliness. Shariputra, from here, with the eye of the Buddha, I observe the world, and in the realms of the world in the direction above, as many as the sands of the Ganges River, the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, in order to completely pacify all the suffering that the sentient beings of the pretas' realm experience in those pretas' realms, and to completely abandon miserliness, teach the Dharma. Those sentient beings of the pretas' realm generate loving-kindness towards those Bodhisattva Mahasattvas. Arise completely from those places of birth of the pretas, and after those arise completely from those places of birth of the pretas, with that root of virtue, be born in the world of gods and the world of humans, and until completely passing into nirvana from the realm of nirvana without remainder, see that they will never be separated from the Buddhas, the Bhagavat. Shariputra, again from here, with the eye of the Buddha, I observe the world, and in the realms of the world in the eastern direction, as many as the sands of the Ganges River, the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas teach the Dharma to the gods of the retinue of the Four Great Kings, and to the Thirty-three, the Yama, the Tushita, the Nirmāṇarati, and the Paranirmita-vaśavartin gods. After those sons of the gods hear the Dharma from those Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, they see that they gradually pass into complete nirvana through the three vehicles, are passing into nirvana, and will pass into nirvana. Shariputra, for those sons of the gods who are mostly intoxicated by the five desirable qualities, make those immeasurable palaces appear to be burning, and knowing that they have become weary, say this: Friends, gather together.
