And, what are the noble truths, what are the three doors of liberation, what are the eight liberations, what are the nine successive abidings, what are the samadhis, what are the doors of dharani, what are the ten powers of the Tathagata, what are the four fearlessnesses, what are the four analytical knowledges, what are the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, what is great loving-kindness, what is great compassion, what is the fruit of stream-enterer, what is the fruit of once-returner, what is the fruit of non-returner, what is Arhatship, what is solitary enlightenment, what is knowledge of the aspects of the path, what is omniscience—all these dharmas are neither contained nor not contained in this Dharma and Discipline. They are formless, invisible, and unobstructed. Thus, without characteristics, even if there is only one characteristic, the Tathagata speaks of them in such terms using worldly language for the purpose of guiding sentient beings, but it is not ultimate truth. The Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should learn all these through knowing and seeing. Having learned through knowing and seeing as they are, some dharmas should be realized, and some should not be realized. Then, which dharmas should the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva learn through knowing and seeing and then realize? Which dharmas should be learned through knowing and seeing and not realized? The dharmas of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas should be learned through knowing and seeing, but should not be realized. With the wisdom of omniscience, all dharmas should be realized in every way. Subhuti, in this way, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should learn the noble Dharma and Discipline, and the Perfection of Wisdom. Asked: Blessed One, what is the noble Dharma and Discipline? To what extent is it called the noble Dharma and Discipline? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, here, the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas
