He should not focus on the nature of consciousness. He should not focus on the nature of all-knowingness. The question: World Honored One, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva should study in many places, but should not study in any place. The World Honored One said: Subhuti, it is so. It is so, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva should study in many places, but should not study in any place. Why is that? Because the Bodhisattva Mahasattva does not see the dharmas that should be studied. The question: World Honored One, if the Tathagata has extensively taught these dharmas in the sutras, then the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, wishing to realize the unexcelled perfect enlightenment, should thoroughly understand these six perfections in the sutras extensively. Having thoroughly understood them, he should become extremely familiar with the words. Having become extremely familiar with the words, he should understand with the mind. He should understand in such a way that these mind and mental factors do not move. The World Honored One said: Subhuti, it is so. It is so, if the Bodhisattva Mahasattva studies these six perfections extensively taught in the sutras, then he will know the sutras and extensive teachings of all dharmas.
