Likewise, do not focus on the state of an Arhat. Likewise, do not focus on the Pratyekabuddha's enlightenment. Likewise, without focusing on the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, one will attain omniscience. The Blessed One said: By focusing, one becomes mixed with the desire realm, or with the form realm, or with the formless realm; by not focusing, one does not become mixed with anything. Subhūti, when a Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he should not be mixed with any dharma whatsoever. He asked: Blessed One, where does a Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva who practices the Perfection of Wisdom in this way abide? The Blessed One said: Subhūti, a Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva who practices in this way does not abide in form. He does not abide in feeling. He does not abide in perception. He does not abide in formation. He does not abide in consciousness. He does not abide in the eye. He does not abide in the ear. He does not abide in the nose. He does not abide in the tongue. He does not abide in the body. He does not abide in the mind. He does not abide in form. He does not abide in sound. He does not abide in smell. He does not abide in taste. He does not abide in touch. He does not abide in dharma. He does not abide in eye-consciousness.
