In order to realize perfect and complete enlightenment, I shall not be separated from the Perfection of Wisdom and skillful means. Abiding in the Perfection of Wisdom and skillful means, in a non-conceptual manner, with a mind endowed with signlessness, I shall perfectly give generosity. I shall guard morality. I shall cultivate patience. I shall exert diligence. I shall abide in meditative concentration. I shall cultivate wisdom. I shall practice inner emptiness. I shall practice outer emptiness. I shall practice inner and outer emptiness. I shall practice emptiness of emptiness. I shall practice great emptiness. I shall practice ultimate emptiness. I shall practice conditioned emptiness. I shall practice unconditioned emptiness. I shall practice emptiness beyond extremes. I shall practice emptiness without beginning or end. I shall practice emptiness without abandonment. Should practice. Should practice the doors of Dharani. Should practice the powers of the Tathagata. Should practice fearlessness. Should practice various perfect enlightenments. Should practice great compassion. Should practice the unshared Dharmas of the Buddha. Should practice the fruit of entering the stream. Should practice the fruit of once returning. Should practice the fruit of non-returning. Should practice Arhatship itself. Should practice self-enlightenment. Should practice knowing the aspects of the path. Should practice omniscience itself. Then, those sons of gods who enjoy in the desire realm and those who enjoy in the form realm, asked the Blessed One as follows: Blessed One, thus, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, manifestly realizes all Dharmas and attains Bodhi, but those Dharmas do not exist and are not attainable, therefore, it is very difficult to attain unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment. The Blessed One said: Sons of gods, it is so, it is so. It is so, it is so, sons of gods, it is very difficult to attain unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment. Sons of gods, I also manifestly awakened to all Dharmas in all ways, but in the ultimate truth, I did not perceive anything that manifestly awakens to Buddhahood, or by which one manifestly awakens to Buddhahood, or any Dharma that should be manifestly awakened to Buddhahood. Why is that? Sons of gods, because all Dharmas are extremely pure. Then, the venerable Subhuti asked the Blessed One as follows: Blessed One, as the Blessed One said, it is very difficult to attain unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment, according to the meaning of what the Blessed One said, what I understand and what I think, Blessed One, it is not difficult to manifestly awaken to unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment. Why is that? Blessed One, it is like this, there is no one who manifestly awakens to Buddhahood, nor is there anyone by whom one manifestly awakens to Buddhahood, nor is there anything that manifestly awakens to

There is no such thing as becoming enlightened. All dharmas are emptiness. In the emptiness of all dharmas, there is no one who manifests complete enlightenment, no one who manifests complete enlightenment by what, and no such dharma by which one should manifest complete enlightenment. Why is that? Blessed One, it is because all dharmas are emptiness, and for the sake of increasing or decreasing any dharma, one does not give alms, or keep the precepts, or cultivate patience, or exert effort, or engage in meditative concentration, or cultivate wisdom, or cultivate inner emptiness, or cultivate outer emptiness, or cultivate inner and outer emptiness, or cultivate emptiness emptiness, or cultivate great emptiness, or cultivate ultimate emptiness, or cultivate conditioned emptiness, or cultivate unconditioned emptiness, or cultivate emptiness beyond extremes, or cultivate emptiness without beginning or end, or cultivate emptiness without abandonment, or cultivate self-nature emptiness, or cultivate all dharma emptiness, or cultivate self-characteristic emptiness, or cultivate unobservable emptiness, or cultivate non-entity emptiness, or cultivate essence emptiness, or cultivate non-entity essence emptiness, or cultivate mindfulness, or cultivate right abandonments, or cultivate miraculous feet, or cultivate faculties, or cultivate powers, or cultivate limbs of enlightenment, or cultivate the eightfold noble path, or cultivate noble truths, or cultivate meditative concentrations, or cultivate immeasurables, or cultivate formless attainments, or cultivate liberations, or cultivate successive abiding attainments, or cultivate emptiness liberation gate, signlessness liberation gate, wishlessness liberation gate, or cultivate superknowledges, or cultivate samadhis, or cultivate dharani gates, or cultivate the powers of the Thus-Gone One, or cultivate fearlessnesses, or cultivate separate correct knowledges, or cultivate great love.
