Because of purity, one does not seek desire. The Blessed One said: Son of Sharadvati, because of being extremely pure. Asked: Blessed One, how is it that because of purity, one does not seek desire? The Blessed One said: Son of Sharadvati, because of the emptiness of one's own nature, one is pure, therefore one does not know desire. Asked: Blessed One, because of purity, one does not seek taking. The Blessed One said: Son of Sharadvati, because of being extremely pure. Asked: Blessed One, how is it that because of purity, one does not seek taking? The Blessed One said: Son of Sharadvati, because of the emptiness of one's own nature, one is pure, therefore one does not know taking. Asked: Blessed One, because of purity, one does not seek existence. The Blessed One said: Son of Sharadvati, because of being extremely pure.
