Those Bhagavats are also not signs, not the realm of signs. If one thinks like that, it is still clinging to signs. Those roots of virtue are not dedicated to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. If so, their perception will be reversed, their mind will be reversed, and their view will be reversed. If a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva does not fully understand those Buddhas, the Bhagavats, those roots of virtue, those manifest phenomena, and those aspirations, and does not cling to signs, then those roots of virtue are dedicated to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. In that way, the perception of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva will not be reversed, their mind will not be reversed, and their view will not be reversed. Maitreya said: Venerable Subhuti, how does a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva not cling to the signs of those roots of virtue and dedicate them to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment? Subhuti said: Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas should learn those skillful means in this Prajnaparamita. From this Prajnaparamita, the skillful means of Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas should be understood. Without relying on Prajnaparamita, one cannot fully dedicate meritorious deeds. Maitreya said: Those Buddhas, the Bhagavats, are also not in Prajnaparamita; they are invisible. Those roots of virtue are also not there; they are invisible. Those manifest phenomena are also not there; they are invisible. And those aspirations with which one dedicates to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment are also not there; they are invisible. If one says this, will it not become a fault? In this regard, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices Prajnaparamita, they should fully examine it in this way: My body has also ceased, those roots of virtue

also ceased. Those manifest actions also ceased. Those aspirations also ceased, I take those Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, and those roots of virtue, and those manifest actions, and those aspirations as signs, and thus discriminate and contemplate, the place of the Tathagatas, the Arhats, the Perfectly Awakened Ones, do not rejoice or praise the dedication in such a way of signs. What is the reason for this? Thus, taking the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, who have completely passed into Nirvana, as signs, and discriminating and contemplating, the object of focus becomes a great object of focus, therefore, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, wishing to dedicate those roots of virtue, should not focus or cling to signs, but should dedicate. The Tathagatas, the Arhats, the Perfectly Awakened Ones, did not say that the dedication with the consciousness of focusing and the consciousness of signs has great benefit. What is the reason for this? Because that dedication is poisonous, it has thorns. For example, like this, food is delicious, the color is perfect, the smell is perfect, but if it is mixed with poison, even if the color and, the smell and taste are pleasing, yet it is ultimately poisonous. To this, a person with a childish nature, a person with a perverse wisdom nature, will think to eat it. Even if he eats it, he will feel that the color and, the smell and, the taste are delicious, but it will turn into suffering and, the ripening of suffering. Similarly, regarding this, some people have wrong views and, wrong knowledge and, wrong learning, do not understand the meaning and do not know, and thus declare: Noble son, from the initial aspiration of the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, who have appeared in the past and, the future and, the present, until attaining the unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment, and completely passing into Nirvana in the realm of complete Nirvana without residue, and until the disappearance of the true Dharma, practice the Prajnaparamita, whatever roots of virtue
