Then, the fruit of non-return is empty of inherent existence. What is the inherent existence of the fruit of non-return? It is the absence of things. What is the absence of things? It is the Perfection of Wisdom. What is the Perfection of Wisdom? In that, the fruit of non-return, whether it is permanent or impermanent, is not observed. Or, not observing impermanence. If even self-nature Bodhi is absent, how can there be permanence or impermanence? Kausika, those sons or daughters of good family who teach in this way do not show the image of the Perfection of Wisdom. Kausika, furthermore, those sons and daughters of good family teach the Perfection of Wisdom in this way to those sons and daughters of good family who are entering the Bodhisattva Vehicle: Come, son of good family, you should cultivate the Perfection of Wisdom. Do not truly observe the knowledge of the aspects of the path as impermanent. Why is that? Because the knowledge of the aspects of the path is empty of inherent existence. Whatever is the inherent existence of the knowledge of the aspects of the path, that is without substance. Whatever is without substance, that is the Perfection of Wisdom. Whatever is the Perfection of Wisdom, for that, the knowledge of the aspects of the path is said to be permanent or impermanent, but it is not observed.

does not show the image of Prajñāpāramitā. Kauśika, furthermore, those sons and daughters of good families, those sons and daughters of good families who are Bodhisattva-vehicle practitioners, teach the Prajñāpāramitā in this way: Come, son of good family, cultivate the Prajñāpāramitā! Do not completely transcend any dharma, and do not abide in any dharma. Why is that? Because in this way, in the Prajñāpāramitā, there is no dharma to be transcended or to be abided in. Why is that? Kauśika, because in this way, all dharmas are empty by nature. Whatever dharma is empty by nature is without substance. Whatever is without substance is the Prajñāpāramitā. Whatever is the Prajñāpāramitā, in that, there is no dharma to be taken, abandoned, generated, or negated. Kauśika, those sons or daughters of good families who teach in this way do not show the image of Prajñāpāramitā. Kauśika, therefore, sons or daughters of good families should explain the meaning of Prajñāpāramitā in this way. Kauśika, the accumulation of merit of those sons or daughters of good families who teach in this way will increase greatly, but not that of the previous sons or daughters of good families. Kauśika, furthermore, if a certain son or daughter of good family were to establish as many sentient beings as there are in Jambudvipa in the fruit of stream-entry, Kauśika, what do you think? Would the merit of that son or daughter of good family increase greatly because of that? They replied: Blessed One, it would increase greatly. Sugata, it would increase greatly. The Blessed One said: Kauśika, even more so, whatever son or daughter of good family extensively speaks, teaches, explains, elucidates, clearly distinguishes, and correctly instructs others about this Prajñāpāramitā, which is endowed with meaning and letters, and says this: Come, son of good family, cultivate the Prajñāpāramitā.
