This thing does not exist. If even great emptiness does not exist there, then how could permanence or impermanence exist? Thus it is proclaimed. Kauśika, those sons or daughters of good family who proclaim in that way are not proclaiming the image of the Perfection of Wisdom. Kauśika, furthermore, to those sons and daughters of good family, those sons and daughters of good family who are of the Bodhisattva Vehicle, they proclaim the Perfection of Wisdom in this way: Come, son of good family, cultivate the Perfection of Wisdom! Do not truly contemplate that ultimate emptiness is impermanent. Why is that? Ultimate emptiness is empty by its very nature. What is the very nature of ultimate emptiness? It is the absence of things. What is the absence of things? It is the Perfection of Wisdom. In that which is the Perfection of Wisdom, the statement that ultimate emptiness is permanent or ultimate emptiness is impermanent does not exist. Kausika, moreover, those sons and daughters of good families, those sons and daughters of good families of the Bodhisattva Vehicle, teach the Perfection of Wisdom in this way: Come, son of good family, cultivate the Perfection of Wisdom! Unborn Emptiness, do not truly follow the view that it is impermanent. Why is that? Unborn Emptiness is empty by its very nature. What is the nature of Unborn Emptiness? It is the absence of things. What is the absence of things? It is the Perfection of Wisdom. What is the Perfection of Wisdom? For it, Unborn Emptiness is said to be permanent or impermanent, but it is not seen. For it, since Unborn Emptiness does not exist, how can there be a view of permanence or impermanence? Thus they teach. Kausika, those sons or daughters of good families who teach in that way are not teaching the image of the Perfection of Wisdom.
