Do not properly follow and observe that feeling is impermanent. What is the reason for that? Because feeling is empty in its nature, and what is the nature of feeling, that is without substance. What is without substance, that is the Prajnaparamita, and what is the Prajnaparamita, there, feeling being called permanent or impermanent is not visible. There, if feeling itself does not exist, then how can permanence or impermanence exist? Kaushika, those sons or daughters of good family who teach in that way do not show the image of the Prajnaparamita. Kaushika, furthermore, those sons and daughters of good family, to those sons and daughters of good family of the Bodhisattva vehicle, teach the Prajnaparamita in this way: Come, son of good family, you should practice the Prajnaparamita. End. If even formations (འདུ་བྱེད་) themselves do not exist, how can there be permanence or impermanence? Thus they teach. Kausika, those sons or daughters of good family who teach in this way do not show the image of the Perfection of Wisdom. Kausika, furthermore, those sons and daughters of good family, to those sons and daughters of good family who are of the vehicle of Bodhisattvas, teach the Perfection of Wisdom in this way: Come, son of good family, cultivate the Perfection of Wisdom! Do not truly observe consciousness as impermanent. Why is that? Consciousness is empty by its very nature. Whatever is the nature of consciousness, that is the absence of things. Whatever is the absence of things, that is the Perfection of Wisdom. And in that Perfection of Wisdom, consciousness being permanent or consciousness being impermanent is not seen. To them, the Prajñāpāramitā is taught as follows: Come, son of a noble family, cultivate the Prajñāpāramitā! Do not properly observe "the ear is impermanent." Why is that?
