And contemplating that the feeling arising from contact due to the aggregation of mind is selfless, and contemplating that the feeling arising from contact due to the aggregation of mind is impure, then one will engage in the image of the Perfection of Wisdom. The Hundred Thousand Verses on the Perfection of Wisdom, Volume Four, teaches that the earth element is impermanent, teaches that the earth element is suffering, teaches that the earth element is selfless, and teaches that the earth element is impure. It is said that whoever practices in this way is practicing the Perfection of Wisdom. Those to whom it is shown will also contemplate that the earth element is impermanent. They will contemplate that the earth element is suffering. They will contemplate that the earth element is selfless. They will contemplate that the earth element is impure. Thus, they contemplate that the earth element is impermanent, and contemplate that the earth element is suffering, and contemplate that the earth element is selfless, and contemplate that the earth element is impure, then they will engage in the image of the Perfection of Wisdom. To conceive of the space element as impermanent, to conceive of the space element as suffering, to conceive of the space element as selfless, and to conceive of the space element as impure, is to engage in the image of the Perfection of Wisdom. Furthermore, it is taught that the consciousness element is impermanent. It is taught that the consciousness element is suffering. It is taught that the consciousness element is selfless. It is taught that the consciousness element is impure. Those who act in this way are said to be engaging in the Perfection of Wisdom.
