Or dispute, or quarrel, or for the purpose of eliminating. They cannot come, because before that, what makes them virtuous and good is listening to, holding, and meditating on this Perfection of Wisdom. Having arisen through the three vehicles, suffering will ultimately be eliminated. Kauśika, for example, there is a herb called *rtsi ma gi*, which pacifies all poisons. There, a snake or a creature tormented by hunger and seeking food sees a certain kind of creature. In order to eat that creature, it follows and approaches it. Then, that kind of creature, fearing death, becomes frightened and goes to where the *rtsi ma gi* is. Then, that snake, merely by smelling the scent of that herb, will turn back. What is the reason for that? Kauśika, in that way, suppressing the venom of the snake is the virtue of the *rtsi ma gi*. Kauśika, that *rtsi ma gi* possesses such power. Kauśika, similarly, any son or daughter of good family who holds and keeps, reads and fully understands, and properly attends to this Perfection of Wisdom, then, Kauśika, all those attackers, disputers, and opponents that arise will be pacified and disappear through the splendor of the Perfection of Wisdom and the power of the Perfection of Wisdom. From wherever they arise, they will disappear in that very place, and will not increase. What is the reason for that? Kauśika, it is because the Perfection of Wisdom pacifies all sinful and non-virtuous dharmas, and does not cause them to increase. What sinful and non-virtuous dharmas are pacified and not caused to increase? For example, desire, hatred, and delusion are pacified, but not caused to increase. Ignorance is pacified, but not caused to increase. Formation is pacified, but not caused to increase. Consciousness is pacified, but not caused to increase. Name and form are
