O son of the venerable Sharadvatiputra, likewise, because form is emptiness, the prior limit of form is not observed, the posterior limit is not observed, the middle is not observed, does emptiness have a limit? The middle is not observed. O son of the venerable Sharadvatiputra, therefore, because form is all-pervasive and infinite, a Bodhisattva should understand it as all-pervasive and infinite. Furthermore, someone says, "Why is it that because feeling is all-pervasive and infinite, a Bodhisattva should understand it as all-pervasive and infinite?" O son of the venerable Sharadvatiputra, feeling is equal to space. Why is that? For example, in space, the prior limit is not observed, the posterior limit is not observed, the middle is not observed, because it is infinite and all-pervasive, it is called space. O son of the venerable Sharadvatiputra, likewise, because feeling is emptiness, the prior limit of feeling is not observed, the posterior limit is not observed, the middle is not observed, does emptiness have a limit?

Sharadvati's son, formations are equal to space. Why is that? For example, for space, the previous limit is not seen, the later limit is not seen, the middle is not seen, because it is infinite, everywhere infinite, therefore it is called space. O son of Sharadvati, similarly, because formations are emptiness, the previous limit of formations is not seen, the later limit is not seen, the middle is not seen, because emptiness has no limit or middle. O son of Sharadvati, therefore, because formations are everywhere infinite, Bodhisattvas should know everywhere infinite. And someone says this, why is that? Because consciousness is everywhere infinite, Bodhisattvas should know everywhere infinite. O son of Sharadvati, consciousness is equal to space. Why is that?
