Even knowing that all is emptiness, it is not in a way of clinging. Even knowing that self-nature is emptiness, it is not in a way of clinging. Even knowing that non-objectification is emptiness, it is not in a way of clinging. Even knowing that non-entity is emptiness, it is not in a way of clinging. Even knowing that essence is emptiness, it is not in a way of clinging. Even knowing that the essence of non-entity is emptiness, it is not in a way of clinging. Son of Sharadvati, endowed with life, this is the Great Vehicle of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva. Furthermore, son of Sharadvati, endowed with life, the Great Vehicle of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva is to know that the mind is not disturbed in all dharmas and is equally established. Son of Sharadvati, endowed with life, this is the Great Vehicle of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva. Furthermore, son of Sharadvati, endowed with life, the Great Vehicle of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva is not to engage in knowing what is called permanent, not to engage in knowing what is called impermanent; not to engage in knowing what is called happiness, not to engage in knowing what is called suffering; not to engage in knowing what is called Self (Sanskrit: Ātman, आत्मा, ātman, Self), not to engage in knowing what is called non-self; not to engage in knowing what is called impure, not to engage in knowing what is called pure; not to engage in knowing what is called empty, not to engage in knowing what is called not empty; not to engage in knowing what is called having signs, not to engage in knowing what is called having no signs; not to engage in knowing what is called having aspirations, not to engage in knowing what is called having no aspirations. Son of Sharadvati, endowed with life, this is the Great Vehicle of the Bodhisattva Emsattva, in a way that does not cling. Furthermore, son of Sharadvati, endowed with life, the Great Vehicle of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva is that one does not engage in knowing the past time that has passed, one does not engage in knowing the future time that has not come, one does not engage in knowing the present time. In a way that does not cling to the past, future, and present, there is also no lack of knowledge of the past, future, and present.

It is the Mahayana of the courageous-minded great bodhisattva. Sharadvatiputra, endowed with life, furthermore, the Mahayana of the bodhisattva mahasattva is: it does not allow consciousness to enter the desire realm, nor does it allow consciousness to enter the form and formless realms, and it is not that it does not know the desire, form, and formless realms. Sharadvatiputra, endowed with life, this too, by way of not focusing on that, is the Mahayana of the bodhisattva mahasattva. Sharadvatiputra, endowed with life, furthermore, the Mahayana of the bodhisattva mahasattva is: it also does not allow consciousness to enter worldly dharmas, nor does it allow consciousness to enter the supramundane, the contaminated and uncontaminated, and conditioned and unconditioned dharmas, but it is not that it does not know worldly and supramundane dharmas, nor is it that it does not know contaminated and uncontaminated, and conditioned and unconditioned dharmas. Sharadvatiputra, endowed with life, this too, by way of not focusing on that, is the Mahayana of the bodhisattva mahasattva. Said: Endowed with life, how much does a bodhisattva reside in the Mahayana of a great bodhisattva? Kangpo said: Sharadvatiputra, endowed with life, when this bodhisattva mahasattva practices the perfection of wisdom, he also truly abides in the perfection of generosity, but he does not focus on generosity, nor does he focus on the perfection of generosity, nor does he focus on the bodhisattva, nor does he focus on giving, nor does he focus on those mental activities. Thus, the bodhisattva mahasattva, by way of not focusing, is said to truly abide in the perfection of generosity. Sharadvatiputra, endowed with life, when this bodhisattva mahasattva practices the perfection of wisdom, he also truly abides in the perfection of ethics, but he does not focus on ethics, nor does he focus on the perfection of ethics, nor does he focus on the bodhisattva, nor does he focus on those mental activities. The Bodhisattva-Mahasattva dwells perfectly in the Perfection of Morality in a non-apprehending manner. Sharadvatiputra, when this Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, even though he dwells perfectly in the Perfection of Patience, he does not apprehend patience, nor does he apprehend the Perfection of Patience, nor does he apprehend the Bodhisattva, nor does he apprehend those mental activities. Thus, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva dwells perfectly in the Perfection of Patience in a non-apprehending manner. Sharadvatiputra, when this Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, even though he dwells perfectly in the Perfection of Diligence, he does not apprehend diligence, nor does he apprehend the Perfection of Diligence, nor does he apprehend the Bodhisattva, nor does he apprehend those mental activities. Thus, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva dwells perfectly in the Perfection of Diligence in a non-apprehending manner.
