They practice the diligence paramita, being separated from desire, separated from sinful and non-virtuous dharmas, possessing investigation and examination, the joy and happiness born from separation, they approach and abide in the first dhyana. They cease investigation and examination, their minds are purified, their thoughts are focused on one object, without investigation and without examination, the joy and happiness born from samadhi, they approach and abide in the second dhyana. They are separated from the greed of joy, abide in mindfulness, abide in equanimity, experiencing happiness with the body, the noble ones call it possessing mindfulness, dwelling happily in equanimity, they approach and abide in the third dhyana without joy. In a non-attached manner, possessing a mind of equanimity and impartiality, the mind is very vast, extremely broad, non-dual, immeasurable, unobstructed, harmless, endless, perfectly complete, through very deep meditation, the world is filled with the realm of Dharma, the ten directions reaching the end of the sky are fully filled, thereby believing and practicing accordingly. He completely transcends the perception of form, obstructive perceptions have disappeared, and no longer thinks of various perceptions in his mind, thinking "space is infinite," thereby dwelling in the sphere of infinite space. He completely transcends the sphere of infinite space, thinking "consciousness is infinite," thereby dwelling in the sphere of infinite consciousness. He completely transcends the sphere of infinite consciousness, thinking "there is nothing at all," thereby dwelling in the sphere of nothingness. He completely transcends the sphere of nothingness, dwelling in the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception in a non-attached manner. This is the meditation of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva. When a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices these meditations, these immeasurables, and these formless realms with the image, manner, and characteristics of the sky, when he rises, he completely inclines towards omniscience, this is the perfection of diligence of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva. He practices the perfection of meditation, separated from desire, separated from evil and unwholesome dharmas, accompanied by investigation and analysis, joy and happiness born from separation, thereby dwelling in the first dhyana.
