The Four Great Kings and the gods of the Thirty-Three, as well as the Yama gods, the Tushita gods, the Enjoying Emanation gods, the Other-Controlling Emanation gods, as well as the gods of the Brahma retinue, as well as Brahma's close attendants, Brahma's assembly, Great Brahma, Light, Little Light, Immeasurable Light, Pure Radiance, Merit-Born, Little Merit, Immeasurable Merit, Merit-Love, Vast Fruit, No Little Vast, Immeasurable Vast, Vast Fruit, No Great, No Heat, Well-Appearing, Not Annoying Heat, and the gods of the Akanishta heaven, also to prevent some Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas from being obstructed, thus completely protecting them. Moreover, whatever faults there are regarding the body, no matter how many, will also completely disappear in this very life. What is the reason for that? Because, this Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, pervades all sentient beings with loving-kindness.
