Or, on that road, would I be busy with alms, medicine for the sick, and service? If there is no alms and service, will there be harm and missed time? On that road, will my body be comfortable? Will my mind be comfortable? On that road, will virtuous dharmas increase? If I am not busy, then I should go. In this way, examine the place, friends, and roads, and if you think of going tomorrow, then you should report to the Khenpo and Acharya, reporting: I am going to a place like this, a city like this. The Khenpo and Acharya should also examine that place, examine the road, examine the bhikkhu friends, and examine what kind of bhikkhu friends this person has? What kind of retinue does this person have? Understand what kind of people are following this person's friends, and if they are harmonious, then give permission, and if they are not harmonious, then do not give permission. If the bhikkhu who is going leaves without reporting, he will become a faulty person. If you are going because of the increase of virtuous dharmas, and the Khenpo and Acharya are not righteous people, then it is also better to leave without reporting. Living in a dwelling, that dwelling should be cleaned, swept, and the broom discarded. The walls should be smoothly plastered with lime. In the morning, first recite the Sanghatasutra three times, and then speak of the merits of giving. After dawn, the mattresses and so on should be arranged as they were, dusted off, and patted. Then, leave about four fingers' distance from the wall, roll it up and put it away, close the door, put on the inner and outer locks, and tell the bhikkhus living there and living in the monastery: Please take care of these things, and then leave. There are five ways to instruct to take care of mattresses and so on: This is this dwelling, please take care of this dwelling, these are these mattresses, please take care of these mattresses, and the fifth is handing over the key. If it happens outside the monastery, then you should examine the bhikkhu friends, and not for long, ask each other, no matter who it is, whether there is anything forgotten or left behind. If there is something forgotten or left behind, that bhikkhu should return to take it.

Thus. The act of abiding until the future is called the act of going. What is the act of abiding in the place of going? The one who abides in the place of going should rise early in the morning and stop the monks who are about to depart. To those venerable ones, the alms bowls and robes should be well arranged and carried. He should warn them not to let anyone forget. After they have departed, the monk who abides should examine whether they have forgotten anything, and then everyone should follow. Do not delay for long, and tell them if anyone has forgotten or left anything behind. The monk who abides should instruct all the monks: Venerable ones, no one should abandon and leave ahead, and do not lag behind. Everyone should gather together and proceed while looking after each other. When the monk who abides enters the road, he should perceive whether it is comfortable or not, and think to himself: Will I abandon and leave ahead of them? Will I lag behind and stay behind? If he sees someone abandoning and leaving ahead, he should also urge them to go forward. He himself should also enter the midst of the monks and proceed. If he cannot go, he should entrust the alms bowl and robes to those monks. If he becomes unable to go, then those monks should carry that monk on their shoulders or backs, carry him out of the monastery, and take him to the edge of the village. A serving monk should also be given to that monk. That serving monk should also seek food and medicine for him from others. If the road becomes dangerous, they should go quickly and swiftly, and then stop and rest. If they become able again, then they should choose a place by the water, by the forest, on the green grass, or any place they like, and let the monks rest. After resting, they should continue to go. The monk who abides should admonish all of them: Everyone, please tell one by one the merits of giving here. All the monks should speak the words of the merits of giving.
