那提。不应与被摈弃者及比丘等一起行事,不做布萨,不做分座,不共住,不共用,不共同交谈。不和合者,称为摈弃之业。为何称为摈弃之业?因僧众所摈弃,故称为摈弃之业。请宽恕之业为何?从所作之业中,再次与僧众一起居住,行为一致,亲近一致,安住一致,此称为请宽恕之业。胁迫之事物为何?若有比丘争斗、揭短、扰乱、怀恨、争论,此称为胁迫之事物。诤论之事物为何?诤论之事物有三,即见、闻、疑。已发生,是过失,且是真实的,非虚假的。是适时的,非不适时的。是与义相符的,非与义不符的。是柔和的,非粗暴的。是慈爱的,非嗔恨的,此称为诤论之事物。调伏之事物为何?五种精勤之业,即从胁迫之业、呵责之业乃至令心欢喜之间,如前所述,此称为调伏之事物。寂静之事物为何?以何因何缘而生起的争端得以调伏,为了寂静和完全寂静。例如,抚平毛发,使其发生,以屈服来表示,以礼拜来表示,此称为寂静之事物。因之事物为何?以何因何缘,依靠何因而行事,如《贤善经》中所说的那样行事。在此之下,僧众所应行之事,如《贤善经》中所说的那样详细阐述,此称为因之事物。学处为何?学处有三,即增上戒律学,增上心学,增上慧学。另有三种学处,即增上行学

Then. One should not act together with the expelled and the monks, not do the Uposatha, not divide the seats, not cohabit, not share, not converse together. That which is not harmonious is called the act of expulsion. Why is it called the act of expulsion? Because it is expelled by the Sangha, therefore it is called the act of expulsion. What is the act of asking for forgiveness? From the act that has been done, again dwelling together with the Sangha, having the same conduct, the same intimacy, and the same dwelling, that is called the act of asking for forgiveness. What is the object of intimidation? A monk who fights, exposes faults, stirs up trouble, bears grudges, and disputes, this is called the object of intimidation. What is the object of contention? There are three objects of contention: seeing, hearing, and doubting. It has happened, it is a fault, and it is true, not false. It is timely, not untimely. It is in accordance with meaning, not not in accordance with meaning. It is gentle, not harsh. It is loving, not hateful, this is called the object of contention. What is the object of taming? The five diligent actions, namely, from the action of intimidation and the action of reproach to the point of making the mind happy, as before, this is called the object of taming. What is the object of pacification? By whatever cause and condition the disputes that have arisen are tamed, for the sake of peace and complete peace. For example, smoothing the hair, causing it to arise, showing by bowing, showing by prostration, this is called the object of pacification. What is the object of cause? By whatever cause and condition, relying on whatever cause, one acts, as it is said in the Sutra Bhadra.
