I have not offered faith and complete purity, which is called not offering. If one acknowledges having divided the Sangha, not dwelling, dwelling separately, being nearby, or having given precepts, it is also called not offering faith and complete purity. This is called not being fully endowed with offering faith and complete purity. What is it to be fully endowed with receiving faith and complete purity? A Bhikshu who receives complete purity and faith from a Bhikshu should receive it in this way: one to one, or one to two, or one to many, as many names as one can speak, that many should be received. A Bhikshu who receives faith and complete purity should not run after receiving faith and complete purity, should not walk quickly, should not jump, should not leap, should not walk from under the ground, should not walk from the sky, should not receive complete purity and faith from outside the boundary, but should receive faith and complete purity with mindfulness from within the boundary. If one receives faith and complete purity from outside the boundary, it becomes a Dukkritta. If, from within the boundary, there is an obvious threat of obstructing livelihood, or obstructing Brahmacharya, or any of the eight obstructions, then even if one receives it from outside the boundary, there is no fault. This is called being fully endowed with receiving complete purity and faith. What is it to be fully endowed with declaring faith and complete purity? A Bhikshu who declares complete purity and faith, if he dies in the Sangha in the future, it is called not declaring complete purity and faith. If one acknowledges being a layman, it is also called not declaring complete purity and faith. From a Shramanerika, a eunuch, a Bhikshuni who has been expelled, up to being in another path, as before, if one acknowledges it, it is also called not declaring complete purity and faith. If one acknowledges being a eunuch, it is also called not declaring complete purity and faith. Dividing the Sangha, not dwelling, dwelling separately, being nearby, having given precepts,

Even if you promise, it is called not expressing complete purity and faith. A monk who expresses complete purity and faith should not sleep or enter into samadhi after accepting complete purity and faith. A mindful person should express complete purity and faith. It should be expressed in this way: rising from the seat, placing the robe on one shoulder, squatting in front of the monk, joining the palms, and saying, "Listen, venerable one. Today is the fifteenth-day Uposatha of the Sangha, that is, the fifteenth-day Uposatha of the monk named so-and-so. I, the monk named so-and-so, declare myself completely pure, and there are no obstructing dharmas. For the lawful activities of the Sangha, I offer faith, Uposatha, and complete purity." Say this two or three times. The other person should also say, "It is appropriate." The second time, they should say, "Good." If it is in four ways, it is called not expressing complete purity and faith. What are the four? Shamelessness, recklessness, drowsiness, and entering into samadhi. Among these, shamelessness and recklessness, these two situations, will become faulty. Drowsiness and entering into samadhi, these two situations, will become faultless. This is called the perfection of expressing complete purity and faith. What is the perfection of a stupa? The hair stupa and nail stupa spoken of by the Blessed One. As it is said in the Vinaya, just as the householder who gives food to the helpless is perfect in stupas, it should be widely proclaimed. That is, for the benefit of sentient beings, the Blessed One spoke of the hair stupa and the nail stupa. Among these, the stupa of the Buddha, the Blessed One, should be completely perfect. The stupa of a Pratyekabuddha should be without a waist. The stupa of an Arhat should have four wheels. The stupa of a Non-Returner should have three wheels. The stupa of a Once-Returner should have two wheels. The stupa of a Stream-Enterer should have one wheel. The stupa of a virtuous ordinary person should have the top removed. The exterior of the stupa

For the sake of pure amusement, the householder who gave food to the helpless, who was exceedingly devoted and manifestly faithful, went to where the Blessed One was, approached him, bowed his head at the feet of the Blessed One, and sat down on one side. Having sat down on one side, the householder Anāthapiṇḍada, the giver of food to the helpless, said to the Blessed One: "When the Blessed One travels and passes away, I will be very distressed because I will not see the face of the Blessed One. If the Blessed One would grant me his hair and nails, I would make offerings." The Blessed One said to him, "Your place of offering is here." Then he gave him hair and nails. He said, "If the Blessed One permits, I will build a stupa from the hair and nails." The Blessed One said, "Householder, I allow you to build a stupa of hair and a stupa of nails. This is called the perfection of a stupa." What is the perfection of the objects of a stupa? Wherever a stupa is first placed, whether in the field of a stupa, in a forest, or anywhere, the objects of the stupa should be placed around the objects of the stupa. This is called the perfection of the objects of a stupa. What is the perfection of the row of cloisters of a stupa? The cloisters and pillars of a stupa should be extensively described as the Blessed One has said in the Vinaya. This is called the perfection of the row of cloisters of a stupa. What is the inexhaustible perfection of a stupa? A merchant of the vast city built a stupa of the Blessed One and also built a cloister of the stupa. Then he offered the inexhaustible things of the stupa to the monks, but the monks were hesitant and did not take them individually. When this happened, the monks reported to the Blessed One. The Blessed One said, "I allow the monks dwelling in Jetavana or the lay devotees to take that inexhaustible thing of the stupa." In order to increase the service to the stupa, whatever that
