Or, not dwelling, or, dwelling separately, or, approaching, or, even if one has vowed to give the precepts, it is called not expressing faith. A monk who expresses faith, having received faith, should not lie down, should not enter into meditation. One who is mindful should express faith, and it should be expressed in this way: rising from the seat, placing the upper robe on one shoulder, squatting in front of the monk, joining the palms together, one should say thus: Please listen, venerable one. I, the monk, named so-and-so, offer faith to the Sangha's proper conduct. I rejoice in the Sangha's proper conduct. I will follow accordingly, thus one should say two or three times. He should also say: It is fitting. The second should say: Good. In four ways, it is called not expressing faith. What are the four? Shamelessness, recklessness, being overcome by sleep, and being in meditation. Among these, the two aspects of being endowed with shamelessness and recklessness will become sinful. The two aspects of being overcome by sleep and being in meditation will become faultless. This is the most complete expression of faith. What is the most complete purity? Thus, I am without fault. Thus, I am pure. Thus, I have not committed any fault, but nevertheless, twice a month, the monk, with a focused mind, should examine my mind: Is the aggregate of precepts that I have taken not broken? Is it not diminished? Is it not damaged? Is it not mixed? Is it completely pure? Have I not committed any fault? Am I without fault? It should be examined. This is called the most complete purity. What is the most complete offering of complete purity? A monk who is sick and unable to go to the communal dwelling place of the Sangha should offer complete purity. If he does not go without being sick, it will constitute a misdeed. If his livelihood is interrupted, or his celibacy is interrupted, or if he is afraid of any of the eight interruptions, then he should also offer complete purity. Powerless to

It should also be practiced with complete purity. The practice of purity should be done in this way: rising from the seat, exposing one shoulder, squatting in front of the bhikshu, joining the palms, and saying this: "Please listen, venerable ones, today is the fifteenth-day posadha of the sangha. I, the bhikshu named so-and-so, today is also the fifteenth-day posadha. If my obstructive dharmas have been completely purified, please, venerable ones, also recite the complete purity for me." The bhikshu named so-and-so also practices complete purity for the sake of the posadha. Because when the venerable ones offer faith, please have the elder recite the complete purity, and by reciting, it will be understood." Say this two or three times. The other party also says, "So be it." The second one says, "Excellent." If it can be practiced in this way, that is very good. If not, practice it while sitting. If sitting is not possible, practice it while lying down. If lying down is not possible, if young, say, "I offer complete purity." This is called offering complete purity. If one says, "Please say the complete purity for me," it is also called offering complete purity. If one cannot use language, but offers with bodily gestures, it is also called practicing complete purity. If one cannot use the body, but signals with language, it is also called offering complete purity. If one signals with both body and language, it is also called offering complete purity. If one cannot signal with body and language, summon all the sangha there. Or call that bhikshu over here. If all the sangha do not come there, and the bhikshu is not called over, then the karma is not assembled, and the sangha will also perish. If the bhikshu who practices complete purity dies immediately after receiving complete purity, it is called not having offered complete purity, and complete purity should be practiced for others. If one admits to being a layman, it is also called not having offered complete purity, and complete purity should be practiced for others. From a novice monk, or a hermaphrodite, or an expelled bhikshuni, to being in another realm, it is the same as before. If one admits it oneself, it is also called not having offered complete purity, and should
