Having petitioned the Blessed One, the Blessed One spoke, saying: "Do not abandon the bedding of the Sangha and leave. Wherever you go, take it with you." After the Blessed One spoke, saying, "Wherever you go, take it with you," a certain monk, taking the apportioned items, fled and left together with the monks. There, at night, a certain monk said, "This venerable one, I am the oldest in the Sangha, how should I be in order of seniority?" And then he gave it to him. After he gave it, when it dawned, he said, "Take this and go." He said, "When the apportionments were divided, you, old man, took it, but now when it is time to honor, do you give it to me? Take it yourself." After this happened, the monks petitioned the Blessed One, and the Blessed One spoke, saying: "Whoever took it when there was fear, it belongs to that one. Even if there is no longer fear, even though the Blessed One has allowed it, do not return it." After this happened, the monks petitioned the Blessed One, and the Blessed One spoke, saying: "Monks, for a while I allow the bedding of the Sangha, but not forever. When you are free from fear, return it and give it in order of seniority." The eighth verse of the Sutra of the Single Door and Double Division is complete. In short: When offering feasts in Jeta Grove, gather by the great drum. Seats are arranged in order, and food is distributed in turn from the monks. The Buddha, the Blessed One, was dwelling in Jeta Grove, Anathapindika's Garden. The householder Anathapindika said to the Blessed One: "If the Blessed One allows, I will hold a great festival." The Blessed One spoke, saying: "Householder, I allow it, do it." Then a festival was held in Jeta Grove. The monks did not gather, and the Blessed One said: "If you hold a great offering, strike the ghanta, the drum, and the conch shell, and the monks will know the time when the shadow falls." When the monks struck the sound of the drum and conch shells, they sat in order. After this happened, the monks petitioned the Blessed One, and the Blessed One spoke, saying:

Then, appoint a monk as the alms-giver, and be sure to seat them according to seniority. When seated according to seniority, the food is distributed from the elders, and just as it reaches the younger ones, the parasol is also removed, and the monks become an obstacle to the food. When the monks reported this to the Blessed One, The Blessed One instructed: Form a line of five hundred, and place the food in front of the elders. The monks did as instructed, but the householder stole food to distribute it. When the monks reported this to the Blessed One, the Blessed One instructed: Appoint a monk as the distributor. But these people also became an obstacle to the food. The Blessed One instructed: Let them receive the food first, and then distribute it. This is the ninth verse of the second chapter of the "Single Door". In short, the number of nuns increased. The first monk was himself, One, two, and many, And the young children were completely separated. The Buddha, the Blessed One, was residing in Jeta's Grove, Anathapindika's Garden. At that time, in another village called Ribhraka, a householder invited many nuns to a feast. Not long after, a monk traveling with many guests arrived at the village of Ribhraka. When he went there for alms, another person said to him: Venerable, this household invites nuns to a feast, please go there. So he went there, and an elder nun named Spomo Gadana was there. She said to that venerable one: If you can speak of the merits of giving, then please sit according to seniority. If you cannot, then please accept food on one side. He was ashamed and thought: If I wait until I speak of the merits of giving, then many guests will also leave, so I might as well eat the food on one side and leave. So he ate the food on one side and left. Gradually he arrived in Shravasti, and the monks asked him: Venerable, have you come in peace? Did you live in peace? He said: Where can one live in peace?

The monk made a joke. When asked, "How was that done?" he told the monks in detail what had happened. The monks reported this to the Blessed One. The Blessed One instructed: "Wherever a monk and a nun reside, that monk should receive the first seat, the first water, and the first food. Wherever there are two or three or more nuns, if a monk comes, that single monk should receive the first seat, the first water, and the first food. Wherever there are only nuns, always offer the first seat, leave a space and let them sit. If a novice father comes, let him sit there and partake. If he cannot do that, then praise the merit of the nun's generosity. If the nun does not do that, she will incur a transgression." The origin of the story is: In Shravasti (舍卫城), the householder Anathapindika (给孤独) held a great festival in Jeta's Grove (逝多林), offering his son and wife as donations to the Sangha. The monks did not know what to do. The monks reported this to the Blessed One. The Blessed One instructed: "Ask the householder." When asked, the father said: "Venerables, please estimate the value, and I will redeem them." The group of six monks began to compete and raise the price. Among them, the wife with a young child bowed at the feet of the householder Anathapindika and said: "Master, please do not let my young son leave me." The monks reported this to the Blessed One. The Blessed One instructed: "Monks, among sentient beings, there is none more timid than a woman, do not be afraid. Therefore, a monk should not estimate the value of a woman. If he estimates, he will incur a transgression. Enjoy it as the donor pleases to give." The tenth verse of the Pratimoksha Sutra is complete. Explanation of the Three Doors of Individual Liberation. In brief: Utensils are bought by fools, Whose cow is whose. Likewise, do not demand from children. Anathapindika is the same. Razor and all the wheels, Water and gathering.
