The ground was filled with tears. And he was also carrying a cry. Then another old woman said: Child, we have all heard that your father has given you the property, do not cry. If there is birth, there will be death. After speaking, he thought for a moment, and then taught the Dharma to his mother and brothers. They slightly relieved their sorrow, and they said: Take your share of the property. He thought: The Blessed One said that there is nothing given after my death, so how should I take it? Then he said: Venerable ones, I have renounced the world, and there is no need for wealth, and the Blessed One has also said that there is nothing given after my death. Take it yourselves. They blamed him, saying: Noble one, take it and give alms, and do meritorious deeds, what fault is there in that? Thus he spoke to the monks. The monks reported to the Blessed One, and the Blessed One said: Monks, there is hope for householders, but there is no hope for renunciants. Because for householders, what is given after my death is the power of the householder. For renunciants, there is no such thing. Therefore, householders think of him as their son and give it, take it. Do it for the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, do not hesitate. The story took place when he was in Shravasti. The monks threw heavy clods of earth, toothbrushes, washing utensils, and cow dung in the walkways, courtyards, and doorways, and then went to use the common property. The monks had doubts about this, so they did not use it. Thus, the monks reported to the Blessed One, and the Blessed One said: Take from the five places of trust. Friendly, intimate, teacher, unchanging, and those who will be happy to hear. These five places of trust can be used, do not hesitate. The story took place when he was in Shravasti. In Shravasti, there was another householder who took a wife from the same caste, and together with her, he enjoyed playing and having fun.

Thereafter, having fully enjoyed pleasure, after some time, the wife became pregnant. After eight or nine months had passed, a daughter was born, and a great birth celebration was held for her until the twenty-first day, and she was named according to the family tradition. She was raised and grew up, and another householder proposed to her, sending dowry and so on. Later, the husband passed away, and she was tormented by the grief of losing her husband, so she went forth into the well-spoken Dharma-Vinaya. Later, a famine occurred, and she lived by begging for alms. While begging for alms, her father saw her on a street. He said, "Daughter, where are you now, and how are you living?" She replied, "Father, a famine has occurred, and I am very hungry." The father said, "Daughter, since that is the case, if you had not gone forth, I would give to you unwillingly. Now, do not beg for alms, but come to my house to eat and go to the summer house." She agreed, and she ate with one or two friends and went to the summer house. After eating there for several days, (the father) said, "I cannot give food to two beggars, so you alone eat here and leave." She replied, "Father, the Blessed One has not allowed going to the village alone." The father was speechless. This matter was told to the nuns, and the nuns told the monks, and the monks reported to the Blessed One. The Blessed One said, "Since that is the case, I allow it. At such a time, a nun should request the precept of intimacy and cohabitation from the nun's Sangha. The way to request is as follows: Having spread out a seat, strike the gandi, and when the nun's Sangha has gathered and is seated, pay homage according to seniority. In front of the senior, sit on a grass mat or a clean mat, join your palms, and say these words: Listen, venerable nuns of the Sangha, I, named so-and-so, have encountered such a time of famine, and begging for alms is also not...
