It is not made of jade. The Venerable Bhagavan said, "Make a bed and a footstool." What kind should I take? Upali, that is not made of jewels. The story takes place in Shravasti. In Shravasti, another householder became ill, and he asked the doctor, "If I get such a disease, please tell me the treatment method." The doctor said, "Householder, first eat oil, and then take a laxative." He began to eat oil. After a while, a monk came near his village and asked, "What is the householder doing?" He explained in detail what had happened. The monk said, "Householder, I am very good at taking laxatives, give me the reward for the doctor, and I will give you a laxative." The householder happily said, "Okay, I will do that." Then he gave him a laxative, and then stood up and went to the monastery. The householder died after taking the laxative, and his relatives went to ask the doctor, "The householder died after taking the laxative, what should I do?" The doctor asked, "Who gave him the laxative?" They said, "It was this monk named Arya who gave it." The doctor said angrily, "Go and ask him." They said, "He has recovered from death." The monks told the Buddha about this. The Buddha said, "Therefore, monks, do not accept rewards and give medicine. Even if you take a laxative, do not leave alone. If such a thing happens, go and consult a doctor. If you leave without doing so, you will also die." The story takes place in Shravasti. The creditor caught a debtor. He said to him, "Give it to me at some time." Then he set a time and left. He thought, "Even if I set a time, I will not be able to repay on time, so I will run away when the time comes." Later he thought again, "It is also very painful to leave my hometown, so I will kill that creditor." So he was on the road to Jetavana

He was killed. After some time, the group of six monks saw it and thought, "We have found clothes in the garbage heap." Thinking this, they began to strip the dead man's clothes. The dead man's relatives came to that place, saw him, and began to weep, saying, "You killed him!" They said, "We did not kill him; he was eaten by a demon, killed by an enemy." When this happened, the monks reported it to the Blessed One. The Blessed One instructed, "Monks, it is right that his relatives have doubts. Therefore, monks, do not take things from such garbage heaps. When many people know about it, then it may be taken; if it is not done that way, it will result in an offense." This is the fifth verse of the third chapter of the 'Section on Origins'. The 'Vinaya Scripture', volume thirty-five. In brief: an iron ball and a medicine bowl, carrying on the back, waist, and head, clothes and food for parents, a woolen third robe. The Buddha, the Blessed One, was dwelling in Shravasti, in the Jeta Grove, Anathapindika's Park. The venerable Upali asked the Buddha, the Blessed One: "Venerable Blessed One, you said to hold the iron ball with an iron ring. How should the iron ring be made?" Upali, it should not be made of precious jewels. "Venerable Blessed One, you said to carry a medicine bowl. How should it be carried?" Upali, it should not be made of precious jewels. "Venerable Blessed One, you said that monks should not carry loads on their backs, waists, or heads. Should nuns also not carry loads on their backs, waists, or heads?" Upali, nuns should also not carry loads on their backs, waists, or heads. If they do carry them, it will result in an offense. The origin of the story is in Shravasti. In Shravasti, another householder took a wife from the same caste and enjoyed playing with her. After enjoying playing with her, after some time, his wife became pregnant.
