Me, yak wool and, sheep wool and, deer wool and, female yak wool and, mixed, and those not woven into cloth. A holder of the Vinaya has seven qualities: he is the protector of the treasury within the teachings of the Victorious One; his own aggregate of discipline is extremely guarded and extremely concealed; he is completely without reservation in relying on others for hearing and expounding; he becomes a gathering place for the fourfold assembly; he becomes a refuge for those who have doubts; he acts without fear within the Sangha, and many lights arise in his mind. The seven places where a bhikshu should not go are: the house of a prostitute, the house of gambling, the house of a harlot, the house of a seller of alcohol, the house of a musician, the palace of a king, and the house of a bad caste. There are seven things that are not the holy Dharma: not understanding what is not Dharma, not understanding meaning, not understanding time, not understanding measure, not understanding oneself, not understanding one's retinue, and not understanding others and oneself. A bhikshu who acts within the Sangha, possessing seven qualities, should not act within the Sangha: being easily angered and untamed, being talkative, repeating words, speaking disrespectfully, and not understanding oneself. There are seven holy Dharmas: understanding the Dharma, understanding the meaning, understanding the time, understanding the measure, understanding oneself, understanding one's retinue, and having many unfriendly people, not being skilled in the beginning, middle, and end of disputes, and not understanding similarities and differences. The seven are complete. In short, abandoning what is obtained and, making shoes is also the same, the eight worldly dharmas and, strife and the four rootless dharmas are also the same. The middle sutra of the eight kinds of gains is: boundaries and affairs, dwellings and, summer and the Sangha, these five and, the person who is manifest and, their respective places, these eight. The gains offered within the boundary and, the gains offered at the time of affairs and, the gains offered at the time of dwelling and, the gains of summer and, the Sang
