A monk said thus: 'Venerable, I have heard directly from the gods, I have received directly, this is the Dharma, this is the Vinaya, this is the teaching of the Teacher.' From that to saying this to that monk, it is the same as before. 'Venerable, how do you consider what the gods say to be the Dharma, consider it to be the Vinaya, but say it is not the Dharma, not the Vinaya? Or, Venerable, you yourself have misunderstood these Dharmas.' From that to knowing and abandoning, it is the same as before. The so-called six great teachings are like this: Monks, if a monk says this: 'Venerable, I have heard directly from the Blessed One, I have received directly, this is the Dharma, this is the Vinaya, this is the teaching of the Teacher.' Do not approve or disapprove of what that monk said. Without approving or disapproving, but grasping the words, meanings, and letters, compare them with the Sutra Pitaka, and examine them with the Vinaya. If it is compared with the Sutra Pitaka, and examined with the Vinaya, and it is also in accordance with the Sutra Pitaka, and it also comes from the Vinaya, and it does not contradict the Dharma nature, then say this to that monk: 'Venerable, these Dharmas were spoken by the Blessed One, and the Venerable has also understood these Dharmas well.' Therefore, these Dharmas are compared with the Sutra Pitaka, and examined with the Vinaya, and they are also in accordance with the Sutra Pitaka, and they come from the Vinaya, and they do not contradict the Dharma nature, therefore, know that this is the Dharma, this is the Vinaya, this is the teaching of the Teacher, and accept it. These six great instructions should also be explained in detail on the side of purity. There are six kinds of abandonment: abandonment to monks, abandonment to nuns, abandonment to both, separate abandonment, abandonment to individuals, and abandonment by generating the mind. There are also six kinds of abandonment: abandonment by faith, abandonment by complete purification, abandonment by wealth, abandonment by utensils, abandonment by medicine, and abandonment by season. There are six kinds of decline: decline of oneself, decline of others, decline of discipline, decline of views, decline of behavior.

It is a poor life. The six perfections are: self-perfection, other-perfection, discipline-perfection, view-perfection, conduct-perfection, and livelihood-perfection. Vinaya text, Volume Twenty-seven. In short, pleasing and stealing, and manifestation, likewise, decay and non-decay, six actions and the doctrine. What is called pleasing is to say to the wise who practice the same as Brahma: May my body be full of love and abide here. This is the Dharma of pleasing, making one happy, regarding as a guru, pleasing, should be happy, regarded as a guru, should be respected, should be meditated upon, should be held, should be in harmony, should not hate, should not argue, and for the sake of the unity of things, enter into the loving actions of speech and the loving actions of mind. Whatever Dharma-like wealth, even if it is small, comes into the bowl, or belongs to the scope of the bowl, such wealth should be used in common with the wise who practice the same as Brahma, this is the Dharma of pleasing. To enter for the sake of the unity of things, as before. Whatever these precepts are not broken, not destroyed, not mixed, not become defiled, not decayed, without fault, perfectly complete, well received, praised by the wise, such precepts should be kept together with the wise who practice the same as Brahma, and become common precepts, this is the Dharma of pleasing. To enter for the sake of unity, as before. In order to completely exhaust the suffering of the noble ones, in order to reach the end of suffering, the arising and the determined view, whatever it is, should be shared with the wise who practice the same as Brahma, this is the Dharma of pleasing. To enter for the sake of unity, as before. The six kinds of stealing are: stealing secretly, stealing deceitfully.

I, stealing by force, and stealing by saying I will give, and stealing by concealing, and stealing by agreeing with others. One should confer full ordination on those in whom six things are manifest, namely: the teacher is manifest, the Dharma is manifest, the Sangha is manifest, complete purity is manifest, the Acharya is manifest, and the Upadhyaya is manifest. Six things become the cause of the decline of the Teacher's teaching, namely: being fond of activities, being fond of speech, being fond of sleep, being fond of talkativeness, and not abandoning gain, respect, and fame, being fond of not abandoning them, and because of fondness for not abandoning them, not being fond of abandoning them and not engaging in yoga, and not being fond of meditation and not being devoted to meditation, therefore not being fond of meditation and not engaging in yoga. Six things become the cause of the non-decline of the Teacher's teaching, namely: not being fond of activities, not being fond of speech, not being fond of sleep, not being fond of talkativeness, and not being fond of gain and respect, being fond of abandonment and being devoted to abandonment, therefore being fond of abandonment and engaging in yoga, and being fond of meditation and being devoted to meditation, therefore being fond of meditation and being devoted to meditation and engaging in yoga. These six things become the cause of the Teacher's teaching, monks, you should know! These things become the cause of universal desire, universal hatred, universal delusion, universal association, universal affliction, and all kinds of elaboration, this is not the Dharma, this is not the Vinaya, this is not the Teacher's teaching, you should know and realize! Six things become the cause of the Teacher's teaching, monks, you should know these! These things do not become the cause of universal desire, not universal hatred, not universal delusion, not universal association, they are the cause of purification and non-elaboration, this is the Dharma, this is the Vinaya, this is the Teacher's teaching, you should realize!
